Another great time at the East Bay Board Games convention! I got to play FluentSea with its developers. It's a Scrabble-like game about restoring a barren coral reef. I'll be looking up its Kickstarter in October.

I can accept someone criticizing the tools and systems they benefit from, if there aren't reasonable alternatives to their use. That said, the archeologist is a quack, not because they live in a house, but because they're making spurious connections, without evidence, in a really condescending way.

Thanks! Collared shirts I have covered, but I hadn't considered a bow tie. Are there general rules for color and pattern matching? Also, what about makeup, at least for covering blemishes? I feel like makeup for a guy, with bristly facial hair, would work very differently than for a woman.

Right? It's clear there's a connection between the pommel and the helmet, but I'm not quite getting what it is. I'm guessing either blunt force, or it's some sort of supernatural interaction between the wolf and knight. I might have thought it was the Knight's sword, but he already had one.

I don't disagree, but that feels trivially true. For example, graffiti tags on train cars. I can extrapolate the artist had the time and dedication to develop genuine skill, while being willing to skirt social and legal norms. But that doesn't tell me anything meaningful about who they are.

I wonder how long that wheel has been sitting there. I have trouble believing the bike was ridden there with a front tire in that condition. But yes; lock the frame first, then the wheels if possible, then the pedals and seat if you're especially paranoid and have a long enough cable or chain.

D&D / MtG crossovers are cool, also I used to play a cleric of St. Cuthbert back in the day. Good times. One quibble, though. A guy called St. Cuthbert of the Cudgel, who's weapon is the Mace of Cuthbert, and who is stated as beating evil in the face with a hammer, is depicted wielding a sword.

I miss being able to go to a physical store, and buy a PC game in the form of a box with a disc in it. Streaming may be more convenient, but it sucks having technically no rights to stuff I pay for.
