Yes there's little you really need to do to try it out! If you don't have stabilizer you can just fold fabric in half or smth just go for it! Tbh I was partially inspired to start by @zubrovich.bsky.social 's Mutts and Goodboys patches from 2019 :3

I use a pretty cheap thread!! It's a bit shiny, I think it's just polyester, I honestly should be getting better thread for the health of my machine lol I do layer over it a ton for a nice illustrative effect. The colors also got weird in the picture so I had to do a little editing, that might be it

Hi, thank you so much! I do the lineart with a regular sewing machine, and use a free-motion foot to move the fabric around as it stitches. It's like drawing, but moving the paper instead. 😇

School is my favorite thing but on days like these where I'm just sleeping all day immobilized with pain I keep wondering if I'll be able to do it this semester I'm back on the right track to physical therapy again but these few days have been rough sigh :S shit like this makes deadlines hard
