Landscaping finished on our Sequim house. We wanted a low maintenance hardscape. The water feature is easily my favorite part of the project. It's right in front of our porch and guaranteed to provide much nap assistance. We're thankful and blessed.

I'm a self confessed morning person. Up by 4 and at the gym before work during my teaching days. I now "sleep in" until 5 in retirement. I find a certain magic in an early workout followed by morning coffee and reading/reflection accompanied by the sound of silence.

I grew up in a rural, ultra white map dot in East Texas. College was the first time to experience diversity on multiple levels. It's what I'm most appreciative of, and can truthfully say it molded my character for life. My group of friends looked like a daily UN gathering.

After 67 days in extended stay hotels, we FINALLY get in our new house Wednesday. The tight living quarters have been less than ideal, but thankful we escaped the Texas heat. Still a ton to do on the property, especially landscaping which should get done by the end of the month

Went for my yearly physical yesterday and it's remarkable how much my numbers have improved since returning to the PNW. Liver enzymes, blood pressure, A1C, WBC counts all in the normal range now. Proof that better mental health is directly proportional to better physical health.
