I wasn't able to enjoy this N1 as much as I wanted to (or at all, really). It's been a rough few weeks, and I almost didn't make it to Japan. It's still not an easy journey; I'm struggling with myself. But I'm glad I'm here.

This little guy arrived today. For a brief moment I was doubting my sanity when I added up the shipping costs, customs duties, and the already inflated Mercari selling price, but... HE'S SO INCREDIBLY CUTE!!! 😭 Best purchase ever.

Me, receiving my order, which I had semi-confidently placed using my very basic knowledge of Japanese without consulting a translation app.

Ozawa is holding a huge crab in his hands. He’s wearing sunglasses, his mouth is wide open, as if he's about to scream, and he looks slightly panicked.
(To me at least. I'm not always good at reading facial expressions, especially when you can't see the eyes).

The fact that this show was held outside of Japan and therefore none of the usual high-quality Japanese fan photos of him looking like THIS (!!!) exist is something I won't be able to get over for a long time.

I was expecting flavors like BBQ, Leather, Carolina Reaper, or WD-40. Instead, they have "Fruity."

I'm absolutely not ready for anything, let alone 2026, but at least my Hobonichi is now decorated for the start of the new year. I couldn't fit El Desperado in though, which really bothers me. My man is too important. Maybe I'll make a special pencil board in his honor.
