I'm a big fan of media analysis but sometimes the best form of media analysis is letting a piece of art sit with you, making you feel weird in a way you can't understand or explain, until one day you have a life experience and you remember the piece of art and you realize that you understand it now

Must be. I can easily see YouTube's dumbass AI screwing that up.

Go figure, the run where I put in BIG GREEN LETTERS that it's not actual race footage and that it's a video game is the one that gets cleared lmao.

Thrasher The Black Stallion @thrasherdbs.bsky.social · 27/06/2026

Well, if you needed any further credence to how lifelike the racing is in Gran Turismo 7*, apparently YouTube thought my most recent IL speedrun was actual broadcast footage from a race held at Road Atlanta in 2020. * - Or how bad YouTube's copyright detection is.

Spacefarer Games, a 1 person "indie game studio" steals Cyeides' Zera: Myths Awaken game, renamed it, recolored the textures and has it listed up on the Nintendo eShop. Spread the word that Spacefarer is a game thief! Support Cyreides, the original creator! cyreides.itch.io/zerama #videogames #psa

Can't wait for YouTube to find some bullshit reason to believe I'm under 18 when my channel *itself* is nearly 17 years old.

I love me the classic marathon PB. Thanks for having me again! McRaeathon is always a pleasure to run for, and they're helping out Get Well Gamers UK, stop by and show them some support!

Speedrun Marathon idea: Defunctathon Games made by studios that aren't around anymore/got bought out by a bigger company only to be dismantled.

Found out local comic store holds a Yu-Gi-Oh tournament every week. Decided to pop by to see if I should get back into the game after not playing for close to 20 years. Reconsidered immediately because apparently none of them know what a shower is. Room REEKED :(

Aaaand that's every rival beaten. A little disappointed I couldn't beat Last Flight or Impatient Princess in my AE86 but managed to do so with Highway Gambler bc he's accident-prone. Maybe I'll check out some mods or do some speedruns of this at some point.

Can we fast forward to the part of the year where everyone is complaining about how hot it is, it gets dark at like 8 or 9pm, and my mood/energy isn't sitting one tick above "empty"?

And I beat it. Very happy with what I experienced in early access of Tokyo Xtreme Racer. Managed to beat 202 of the 216 rivals before the end (201 of them with the AE86 I started the game with). Rolling Gal No.1 and a few wanderers elude me, but I'll be hunting the rest down soon enough.

Had a lot of odd what-if design concepts pop in my head that I wish I could draw. -80s Group B Mustang -early 2000s Nascar resembling an R34 GT-R -Rally Raid/Dakar Countach -GMC C3500 but it's a Group C car

Got myself a drawing tablet. Figured I'd try and learn a wee bit here and there. Got some teething troubles when it comes to drawing on a tablet, it's definitely not like paper. The pen is gonna take some getting used to. Plus it's my first time giving firealpaca a try too. #art

I'm sorry this isn't a happy "dude this year went great!" post, but honestly, this is a year I won't forget despite how much I fuckin' *want* to. Like I said. Don't need 2025 to be my year. Just need it to be better than this one.

Thrasher The Black Stallion @thrasherdbs.bsky.social · 31/12/2024

But there's a handful of things I need to focus on IRL as well. Figuring out how to run my old man's business, home repair things, car repair things. Maybe look into trying to get a better paying job. Basically things I need to know now at this point in my life.

There's a few casual games I want to stream this year. I want to do a few challenge runs in Gran Turismo, and I still want to speedrun, but I'm going to need to step back a bit from it. I already kind of have in the past few months.

Hell I even managed to try out cosplay this year as well. It felt validating to actually have people want to get pictures with me, especially with the disaster I had a few years ago attempting to cosplay.
