i really Hope they release an official Foundry system though this thing's so over (now i get why they don't want homebrew published) funnily enough i had it down to 0 errors but an aesthetic/automation change made all the card abilities unhappy with me. but at least player-sided bugs are easy fixes

what is a west marches campaign? west marches is a style of long-term campaigns that consists of:
a pool of players instead of a fixed group.
each session is scheduled by a group of 2-4 players from the pool.
player characters are based in one location and go out into a shared world for each adventure.
each adventure usually consists of 1-3 sessions.
sandbox-y, players tell the DM what they want to do (based on past events) before scheduling.

who is thothgow? im a new GM but have been in 2 (ongoing) campaigns as a player.
i feel like i know the game inside-and-out but want to encourage your ideas over the rules :)
my availability is mostly weekdays but varies.

tools we will use:
discord: main hub. will use for info, scheduling, out-of-session roleplay. mic needed, no webcam.
foundry: likely our main VTT.
demiplane: alternative reference and digital character sheet.
safety tools: various tools to help keep the game fun and stray away from potentially harmful topics or situations.

the game system:
we will play daggerheart!!!
based on the beta 1.5 rules with slight modifications to armor and actions to better fit the final release.
the game is built mainly for high-fantasy (D&D, Lord of the Rings) but encourages different changes to theme, genre, abilities, etc.
it is in its infancy, the official release will be spring 2025 but offers an alternative to D&D and similar TTRPGs that i really enjoy.
