I’m not an attorney or an authority on US Con Law, but seems to me that even allowing this on a “voluntary basis” opens the door for states to begin ceding their constitutionally enshrined control over elections. Camel’s nose under the tent: “consulting it” ultimately leads to “it controlling”.

Recent AI unauth actions & swarm attacks reminds me of the Star Trek episode “The Ultimate Computer”: AI installed to test fully automated control of the USS Enterprise during war games. Goes rogue, locks out the crew, attacks other Starfleet ships, & defends itself when people try to turn it off.

Fed in difficult position given K shaped economy behavior: High income groups are doing fine & are continuing w/ discretionary spending. Rate inc makes sense. Low income group struggling more w/ impacts of tariffs, gas prices, grocery, medical, etc. Rate inc. hurts & Admin continues to slam them.

Making more sense now. From NYT: Our main naval base in the Mid East, Bahrain, was attacked & heavily damaged early in DT’s Iran war. Had to switch naval resupply to Diego Garcia 2,200 miles away. No wonder no fresh/decent food, etc. can reach the sailors & marines! Obviously all US ships impacted!
