A year after V1, a different group of lunatics (also Scott's students) got together a second volume of stories. Logan Rodgers, Jason Holtzman, & JB Hawkins. We took over the following year and rebranded to The CloakRoom - but none of it would be possible without the teams from V1 & V2!

We started as TALES FROM THE CLOAKROOM collecting 19 stories from Scott Snyder's students. It was truly awesome. One story, The Beekeeper's Due by Jimmy Stamp and Débora Santos, was nominated for an Eisner. You can still get V1 in the current Kickstarter campaign. buff.ly/I2YbWcU #LinkInBio

Thought it would be fun to talk about this cover art, by Matt Salisbury. Coming up with new ways to get a bunch of unconnected characters into a cover design is not easy… but here’s Matt, killing it every time. Issue 5 of The CloakRoom, on Kickstarter now (linkinbio)!

Cogumelo, a samurai character from The Long Way Home.

This is actually a Matt original… a kind of “Crypt Keeper character Matt featured on his cover for our second issue (also available in the campaign, btw)

Gabby, the teenage witch from the story Spelling Bee.
