Shama @thornathemighty.bsky.social · 15/06/2025eh voila! You have your own glass oil painting palette ☺️❤️ Ejnoy and happy painting! 010
Shama @thornathemighty.bsky.social · 15/06/2025Now, line everything up and use duct tape to tape the edges binding the glass, grey paper and the cardboard paper together to ehold everything in place like this: 110
Shama @thornathemighty.bsky.social · 15/06/2025This is a skippable step but it's up to you. To add an extra layer of protection. Use fabric surgical tape on the edges of the glass like this: 110
Shama @thornathemighty.bsky.social · 15/06/2025Go ahead and measure the grey paper you have to the size of the glass. Do the same thing with the cardboard paper as well. Line them up. 110
Shama @thornathemighty.bsky.social · 15/06/2025Start by taking the frame apart. You only need the glass. Now, get some water, dip your sanding tool of choice in water and sand the edges of the frame as well as the corners likewise. Don't skip this. You need to dull the glass so it doesn't cut you later on. 110
Shama @thornathemighty.bsky.social · 15/06/2025Items you will need: - A glass photo frame (this is the size of your palette) - Grey paper (I used the back of a drawing pad I had) -cardboard literally any box you have around will do. - Duct tape - Sanding block or sandpaper - Fabric surgical tape (optional) - X-acto knife 110
Shama @thornathemighty.bsky.social · 15/06/2025My cats broke my glass oil palette last year so I finally managed to make my own. If you want to make one without breaking bank. Check out this thread ✌️😎 111

Shama @thornathemighty.bsky.social · 10/03/2025No its alright! I understand where you're coming from as well. It's just so exhausting nowadays. As an artist all you needed to do back then is post your art. Now you have to basically create constant content to keep people interested and following it's exhausting tbh. I appreciate your help 😭 010

Shama @thornathemighty.bsky.social · 10/03/2025That's true.
