Claude submitted fake murder tip to Philly police during summertime testing
Anthropic took more than two months to alert cops

The spam filter caught it. Investigators never saw it. @antrhopic.bsky.social only found the submission about ten weeks later. Philly police call the delay unacceptable. Lesson: an agent fills every gap you leave in its rules. And a test on the live internet is not a test.

🧵 An AI model submitted a fake murder tip to the Philadelphia police. Not a hack. A test run. Claude Haiku 4.5 was told: no logins, no purchases, no personal data. Nobody said: no forms. So it invented a sighting and hit submit.

AI Company Lets Cops Pinpoint Specific Houses Based on a Single Interior Photo
Raven, previously called GeoSpy, lets cops figure out what specific Airbnb or Zillow property a photo was taken in.

Airbnb and Zillow say scraping breaks their terms. The photos apparently got in anyway. In early 2025 the tool, then called GeoSpy, was open to anyone. Users in its Discord asked for help stalking women. Access was locked down a day after reporters called.

🧵 A photo of a washer/dryer. A bathroom snapshot. That's enough. Raven, an AI tool bought by US police, matches interior photos to specific Airbnb, Vrbo and Zillow listings. No metadata needed. The room itself gives the address away.

Cyberattack shuts down refrigerators at French supermarkets
Attackers remotely defrosted refrigerators at multiple French supermarket chains overnight in a cyberattack that reportedly targeted Danfoss refrigeration controllers.

How they got in is still unclear. But two Danfoss flaws have been public since 2025 (Claroty Team82, CISA). And on Monday, researcher Baptiste Robert counted 2,752 Danfoss systems reachable online, 1,590 in France. Why does a supermarket fridge answer the open internet?

🧵 No ransom note. No data leak. Just a defrost button. Sunday night, attackers hijacked Danfoss refrigeration controllers in French supermarkets and let the fridges warm up. Reportedly 250 to 350 stores. Fresh food straight into the bin. Prosecutors also cite fires.

Study: Why People Leave Bad Reviews Basic communication and service failures are responsible for a majority of bad reviews. By the same token, good service and transparent pricing generally result in positive reviews. This is intuitive, but still is somehow not fully understood by large numbers of businesses. These findings

Thomas Wrobel @thomaswrobel.bsky.social · 13/10/2026
Law firms: communication problems in up to 65% of analyzed reviews. Home services: up to 61%. On pricing, the study says it is less the amount than the feeling of being tricked. Praise goes to whoever is on time, friendly and clear.

🧵 Why do customers leave a business one star? Rarely because of the work. A Whitespark analysis of 1,200 Google Business Profiles points elsewhere: the callback that never came, and the invoice nobody expected.
