Thank you 😊 I'm still fuzzy but I'll be fine!

Hela VS Valkyrie! My bad 😅 I got lost in between all the images I shared these past days 😆 (And I'm sick too, so my mind is a bit confused)

Of course! Though sometimes it's tricky to find the balance between sharing the expertise and not offending the client! Luckily, all my clients are a dream to work with and I can speak freely, which makes the creative process seamless 🥰

010

Tholia @tholiabentz.bsky.social · 09/09/2026

Well, my goal as an artist is to make sure my clients are happy with the art they commission me. So yes, I have no ego in the process and I'm always happy to edit what needs to be :) That said, when an artistic choice does bother me I still advise the client, and then let him the final call!

Thanks Charles! It was actually not the one I had in mind for this piece, but I eventually needed to swap the colors for better harmony on the whole set ^^

Oh merci beaucoup pour tes encouragements ! 🥰 Et noté pour Ganondorf ahah, je ferai les 3 pour l'illu finale dans tous les cas (le but étant de faire une variante cover) donc c'est surtout un ordre de préférence ^^

Aww 💜 This is a game I actually discovered only in 2011 with the remastered 3D version, but my husband do love this title of the franchise more than any other ☺️ I'm excited with the remake version because I don't remember a lot of this game, so it will almost sound like a new one to me!

I certainly do not support AI indeed. But I came to the point I 'tolerate' it, because we can complain all we want, it's here and won't go. I figured the quickest I swallow the pill, the best for my sake. But you won't see me using AI at all for sure. That's why I am going back to traditional art!

010

Tholia @tholiabentz.bsky.social · 03/06/2026

Thank you Charles! And no worries about the AI discussion, it's being done in a very polite way so I am totally fine with discussing different points of view here. I do my best staying open-minded, that's why I refuse to blame the creative teams, bc I don't have all the information to judge them.

010

Tholia @tholiabentz.bsky.social · 03/06/2026

I totally understand. To me, Tomb Raider is very special and means too much. I just can't skip this game no matter what. I do have a huge non-AI games backlog to complete too tho, which means I'll be busy until the release!

010

Tholia @tholiabentz.bsky.social · 03/06/2026

So yes, it sucks, but I don't feel like shaming the game. Especially a game I've been waiting for 18 years. But I totally agree with you! The use of AI in creative fields definitely is shitty. I'm just afraid we cannot fight it anyway, so I deal with it when tolerable, which it is in this case, imo.

170

Tholia @tholiabentz.bsky.social · 03/06/2026

I mean just look at the numbers. The quantity of layoffs in the gaming industry is atrocious. I can't imagine the artists supporting AI willingly. I believe either they bend to it, or they can look for another job.

160

Tholia @tholiabentz.bsky.social · 03/06/2026

Well, I used to think the same way a year ago, but having a few friends working in this industry made me think a bit more out of the box. Most of the artists do not want to use AI at all, but they are asked to... in order to save time and deliver the games faster :'(

Tholia @tholiabentz.bsky.social · 03/06/2026

Thank you!! Tho now I have to create a variant of my art with the actual Peru outfit we discovered yesterday 😬
