2 days ago I went to see about cancelling my subscription after 19 years. Half because Blizzard decline to prevent rampant homophobic & racist abuse by this piece of shit. Half because Retail has become so unappealing to play. But seems my annual sub renewed in Sep so I'll be here till Sep 2027.

It's still hard to tell myself that I quit once and for good. After so long, Warcraft as a universe really became part of my identity. And I happen to be more hyped by what's coming to FFXIV than anything in WoW. That game feels like a safe place on so many levels. But still, WoW was my main game...

I cancelled my sub in Midnight because of the french voice acting situation and the ruined lore/bad writing, was looking forward to next patches to see some improvement, but the more time passes, the more reasons to NOT come back appear. I've litterally spent half of my life in this game.

Through my experience, I encountered litteral doctors from universities thinking that my job was simply to post things on Facebook so anyone could do it. I've seen directors telling us to post something without taking our advices in consideration. In the end, the thing they wanted to promote failed.

Now. Final Fantasy 14 DOES explicitly say content on social media and streaming can result in a ban of the player is found to be breaking the spirit of the ToS externally with an impact on the game. So Blizzard sorely need to amend things honestly.
