Rode past the eco counter on fifth street cycletrack this morning. 1798 bikes counted in under 9hrs. If every one of those people riding bikes was instead in an SUV, the line of cars would be almost 9 km long. People riding bikes don't cause traffic, cars cause traffic. Someone tell Dreeshen, k?

#SummerSolstice2025 happens at 10:42pm EDT today. Plants may not have brains, but they are aware of the day length and this information regulates their blooming and fruiting cycle. In addition, many heliotropic plants such as these coreopsis flowers face east at dawn each day to await the sunrise.

Final Version 2 (lmao) This is not the be-all end-all guide to gardening! It's a quick-start guide for beginners. You may have included different questions in there, and you're welcome to make your own version. Feel free to share wherever you'd like, (please tag me if on social media) 🥰

It takes you through the following line of questioning "1. Is it native: Look at the name of the plant here and see if it's native to your region, with a QR to look that up) If no, Is it good at feeding bugs? Some non-native make lots of nectar. You can google if unsure. If yes, Are there better options available? if yes, don't buy it. If no, buy it. Ok, let's go back to the top. If it IS native, is it a cultivar? Does it have a goofy name like "Daisies jubilee" or "Pink Flamingo Hibiscus" It's a cultivar. If it's a cultivar, it'll send you to are there better options available? If it's not, on to question 3, which is "Was it grown with pesticides? This can be hard to tell. Check with the origin nursery. If yes, are there better options. If no, "Hell yeah".

There are little flowers on a bunch of the boxes. The Hell Yeah box has a swallowtail butterfly with sunglasses giving a thumbs up. The no has a sassy bee looking over its sunglasses at you judgementally with its hand on its hips.
