i don't draw or write as much anymore because i find other hobbies to be more fulfilling. it's a shame but what can you do!

000

kiwi @thisissurreal.bsky.social · 03/09/2026

wish i had more motivation and willpower to draw (and also write), but unfortunately being an adult sucks and life just gets in the way

i dont wanna bother sellers with years old purchases. it's hard for me to confirm because those things i bought were meant for other people, so i can't really confirm if i actually received them cause they wouldn't be in my possession.

kiwi @thisissurreal.bsky.social · 21/08/2026

not me realizing that i may or may not have had things never delivered to me on Etsy. its been so long that i genuinely dont remember if i received them, but there WERE some things i remember receiving that were never marked as received.

this is also makin me want to return to the one i abandoned, but at the same time the reason why i abandoned it was because it was less guided. i don't know if i will have as much fun.... but i think i might be able to understand the flow state more after i finish my current one.

kiwi @thisissurreal.bsky.social · 17/08/2026

I tried a solo journaling RPG cause i've watched several videos on them, and i am surprisingly having fun! i didn't think i would enjoy it that much since i tried a solo rpg before but couldn't get into it. i think this experience is a lil different because i am using physical materials.

dont get me wrong tho. sometimes i WILL yap. just not to the point where i feel like im Baring My Soul to the world. i feel like i still would use this place to talk about books i read (or other media i consume), for example.

kiwi @thisissurreal.bsky.social · 15/08/2026

i used to use twitter/bsky to yap my thoughts. and i WOULD use it for that purpose, but i feel like i kind of... outgrown(?) the need. like yeah its nice to just yap into the void but i think i get reminded its not so much a Void now because i see people rting my art. lmao.

How August kinda feels to me

Illo of an energetic young lady walking her basket bike through shallow waves at the end of the day. There's a bit of celebratory confetti sprinkled around. There are balloons tied to the bike. The lady has big coily hair, a bright pink top and a pleated denim skirt. Drawn by gdbee, paint tool sai 2 Aug 2026

kiwi @thisissurreal.bsky.social · 21/07/2026

Star showers and rain ghosts Watercolour on arches paper #art

The rain ghosts encounter their natural enemy, star showers on an unassuming summer's eve.
They hide in fear, among the hydrangea blooms.
The oblivious ones have been struck, the stars setting the aflame.

theres just this instinctual aversion i feel to it even tho the art is really good! god damn it. it really isnt the artist's fault and i still think the art is really good.
