Ohhh also, on second thought this is tied with Cayde saying goodbye AGAIN in The Final Shape. I had to try so hard to hold it together while in the VC with my fireteam.

The ending of the second Plague Tale game. It's still also my most "wtf" moment

How do I explain to the Overwatch devs that actually, I really only ever want to play escort maps, and locking me out of them for 2 hours at a time is very annoying 😭

Siren @thisissiren.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

I just realized that both Control Resonant and Silent Hill Townfall also came out while we were in PA. Where tf am I supposed to find the time to play all of these

Siren @thisissiren.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

we have returned home from our PA trip and I have somewhat reclaimed the house from the cats. now it's time to install the Witcher 3 remaster

Siren @thisissiren.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

We leave tomorrow morning to go back to Texas. It gets harder every year we visit PA to leave. The husband and I are thinking 5-7 years until we move up here

Fed some goats today, 10/10 day

Also I opened our Ring camera just to make sure our house is still standing and there was just this random cat sitting there??

Just realized I can use the regular app for this week since we're in PA and not TX, aka censorship central.

How am I suppose to reckon with leaving this behind to return to the barren wasteland of Texas. 😭 I regret moving away from Pennsylvania so, so much some days.

It's a cold, rainy fall morning. Put on a hoodie and sweat pants. Went for a drive over the mountain to the closest Sheetz to get coffee. Drove back with the windows cracked just a bit. I'm going to have a full mental breakdown when we have to go back to 90 degree heat and drought in Texas.

I would love to be happy about this but I better see the same devs getting rehired into their positions on the Destiny team.

I think it's super discouraging to go, "WoW Forever killed Retail!" like... no? Ew? I want to enjoy both. I am going to enjoy both. But people are being so weird and cringe about Forever overtaking everything. We can just like both. Play both. It's just two cakes.

A few differences since we made this drive last year. There are Flock cameras EVERYWHERE in Arkansas. I'm pretty sure there is one on every exit along I30, at minimum. Disgusting. However, I have not seen a lick of Trump paraphernalia so far. No flags, no billboards, nothing. Huzzah.

About half way through the drive from TX to PA to visit my family for a week and I am biiiiig sleepy

Gas this morning in north Texas is $3.99/gal. I have lived here 8 years and have never seen the price that high. Ours is generally the cheapest in the country, so everyone else should probably brace themselves.

BlizzCon was so amazing this year & there is so much to look forward too and get excited about. But omg Holly Longdale and her AMAZING outfit ✨ I couldn't resist I just wanted to draw her so bad!!! I love how this outfit gives a sense of adventure and optimism. Can't wait to try WoWF #forthehorde

The Overwatch VA panel was so cool, I love that they all have such fun stories of how they got their roles.

Doctrine seems super strong atm, I'm absolutely having a blast playing him, which means he'll probably come back to the game super nerfed xD

Siren @thisissiren.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

The strong themes of sisterhood and mother/daughter connections fucking got me. Also the line they toed of "actually, fuck men"

000

Siren @thisissiren.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Also we saw Practical Magic 2 today and I cried the whole last half of that movie, I was not fucking prepared

100

Siren @thisissiren.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

I havent been able to watch most of Blizzcon cause we were at the movies, but we caught the Midnight showcase and I liked everything I saw. Except for that S3 dungeon pool, what in the holy hell are they doing to us

Siren @thisissiren.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

Rolled credits on the Blood of Dawnwalker and it was a solid 9.5/10 for me. Such a good fucking game. I will probably do another playthrough at some point, make some different choices and all that.

I've been rocking the side shave for about a decade now and I kinda think I want to finally grow it back out, but the idea of dealing with the mess it will be for that long is kinda exhausting

000

Siren @thisissiren.bsky.social · 06/09/2026

There seems to be some sort of Shadowlands discourse kicking around. My hot take was that there was so much that was fucking cool about that xpac and I honestly loved it. Except the Maw. Fuck that place.

000

Siren @thisissiren.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

But is it a good mod? Lol

000

Siren @thisissiren.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

I give it a month before someone figures out how to make a mod that removes the time structure for Blood of the Dawnwalker.

Smurfing should be a bannable offense in all PvP games and I will never be persuaded otherwise. It's school bully behavior.

Okay so I did this test twice because I am actually from PA and grew up with a strong PA German accent, but going to college + living in TX has kinda taken it out of me. So I did one answering how I used to talk and one answering how I talk now. Kinda sad that I'm just default midwestern now lol

I'm still reserving judgement on the time passage mechanic. The completionist in me is kinda annoyed/stressed by it. But I also appreciate the way it makes me think about what is important enough to do and what can be left by the wayside.

Breaking out the controller for once. Usually I just very stubbornly use the keyboard, but the combat in this very much lends to a controller. (Someone who's good at RPG combat would probably find this to be false, I, however, am not super good at melee RPG combat)

The opening sequence was cool af. And it is an absolutely gorgeous game. I will say that the movement does feel a bit janky at least at the beginning. Hopefully it smooths out or I at least get used to it.
