6. Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX -Beginning- PEAK, No notes, A+, Gold Star, 10/10 I LOVED this movie. Even if it was just the first few episodes of the anime stapled together it was GREAT! I can't wait to sit down and watch the series as it comes out. Also I NEED the Gquuuuuux and Red Gundam kits

A five tier, tier list.

5. 8th MS Team What if Gundam, but Vietnam war? A simple concept that is elevated by amazing characters balanced out with peak mobile suit action and a little Romeo and Juliet. Very refreshing after some middling performances from other series. I'm excited to see what comes next!

4. Mobile Suit IGLOO A weird one in many ways, and probably the weakest so far but it's not without merit. They explore some interesting ideas in this and show the desperation Zeon was dealing with during the One Year War. Unfortunately, all of that is marred by early 2000's cgi :p

A five tier, tier list.

40k: Favoritism. That's the only way this makes sense to me. Ad Mech V. Nids killteam. Nids get beautiful bespoke new models, admech gets one truly unique model and a pile of samey servitors. Where's the rest of World Eaters!? Why update the dreadknight!? Space Wolves look AMAZING! 🧵4/4

A silver humanoid exo-suit with a power flail in one hand and a 4 barrel melta gun mounted to the other. The pilot is completely exposed due to being strapped to the front in the same way a new parent may carry their child.
The dreadknight, aka the baby carrier.

A possessed chaos space marine holding a vicious chainsword in one hand while his other arm mutated into a terrifying fleshy approximation of a chainsword, but on a larger scale.

An amazing army set for the space wolves, showing off both updated and new models.

Look at this wonderful little freak! A levitating mass of wires and mechanical appendages poking out of a crimson robe in the vague shape of a person. Severely hunched due to a large spherical apparatus with many lights and antenna attached to its back.

Old World: I didn't play Warhammer Fantasy, so I don't have much nostalgia or interest for these Wood elves and beastmen look fine. Nothing really too standout here for me. Great Cathay actually looks pretty cool. Well, once you get to the big units. Might try and get a cathayan sentinel. 🧵 2/4

An army shot of Warhammer: The Old World Wood Elves. Two large units of melee troops holding swords and spears in the front. Two smaller mounted units riding cool fantasy deer flanking the sides. And three large ranged units using longbows in the back.

An army shot of Warhammer: The Old World Beastmen. Fives large mobs of smaller beastmen surround a giant monstrosity of a beastman that wields a bolder as a weapon.

Shugengan Lord on Great Spirit Longma, from Warhammer: The Old World Great Cathay. A general wielding a naginata atop a draconic mount.

Cathayan Sentinel, from Warhammer: The Old World Great Cathay. A giant armored warrior created from earthen materials and animated by magic.

3. Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origins Char Aznable IS that bitch. He has ALWAYS BEEN that bitch. And he most likely will CONTINUE TO BE that bitch. That was my main take away at least. Otherwise a fun exploration of some backstories that ultimately falls victim to the fact that it's a prequel.

2. Next up was the original series, and by that I mean the movie adaptations! I honestly liked these more than I thought I would. It's old and more than a little cheesy, but very charming and clearly set a lot a groundwork in terms of narratives and themes for the rest of the series!

A tier list with the descending tiers of "Great!", "Pretty Good", "Fine", "Eh", and "Maybe Skip". Gundam: Requiem For Vengeance is placed in the "Fine" tier. The three Mobile Suit Gundam films are all placed together in the "Pretty Good" tier.

The first Gundam series I watched was, Requiem For Vengeance. I was not in love with the animation style, and the dub wasn't the best imo. But I enjoyed the characters, the themes, and the way it portrayed the gundam as almost a slasher villain hunting the POV Zeon forces

So, I've been getting into Gundam lately. It's always been something I've known about, but never interacted with. But now that I'm going through the series I wanted to share my thoughts as I go! I'm following this guide to try and direct my viewing a bit, and I hope you enjoy this thread!
