🌞 Waking up to the quiet early golden morning September sun.. When everything is waking up. Simply pottering around our garden with a warm coffee in my hand and my dressing gown still on. Waiting to see what awaits me under leaves and unzipped greenhouses. #inmygarden #bliss #harvest

When life feels out of control and ‘going with the flow’ isn’t easy. I recommend finding order in the little things.
Patchwork clips ordered by quantity and colour in neat rows. Starting from the lowest number at the top down to the highest number at the bottom. Ordered on a table top and photographed from above.

🧘 A textile pouch, which I have made and embroidered to help me in moments of raised anxiety. It features words from a poem I wrote a while back— and is designed for meditation and grounding. #dearanxiety #meditation #grounding #mindfulness #anxiety

It’s scaffolding net. In different colours pieced together. They were a gift from an artist friend. I had the idea to make the rainbow. 🌈

Yoga, sound bath and wellness circle on the top of Werneth Low Country Park was bliss this evening. Welcoming in the new moon and finding my grounded place amongst the wind, trees and sky. Best bit? The vibrations of a sound bowl beaten, resting on my stomach while resting in savasana.

Adventure: I ventured from Malham, along the river there and up the cove, then back to the pub despite having a double ear infection last week…

🤍 “We were amongst the rhododendrons. There was something bewildering, even shocking, about the suddenness of their discovery. The woods had not prepared me for them”. I have finished ‘Rebecca’ by Daphne du Maurier. It’s filled with dark, gothic drama #RebeccaBook #DaphneDuMaurier

Getting out in the sun today for a 6km local walk looping Debdale Park and including the Fallowfield loop. Took a flask of tea and some biscuits wrapped in tin foil. Better than the previously planned drive and £10 car park charge at a NT property, and didn’t have to buy a coffee in a take-out cup.

🍄‍🟫 When everything is a bit much. I spend time looking within. Cooking is a good activity for this- Soaked jelly ear mushrooms in gin & coated in dark chocolate. Hey pesto- with some wild garlic blitzed + extra to freeze. Buds pickled. Soup made with ingredients #foraged from Asda. #mindful #cook

🌳 Took the little one out with me who found a small nook in a tree. We listened to the birds and used the Merlin app to identify what we could. Picked wild garlic for pesto and looked at the reflections.

🌱 Why do you #grow? I grow to both find & lose myself. To give back, to feel grounded. To nurture, explore & learn. To be in harmony with the world around me. To be reminded that I cannot control nature that is out of my control. But most of all, when I #garden I can just be. #GardensOfBluesky

Tonight, April’s full moon, the Pink Moon, rises. 🌕🌸 Named by northern Native American tribes for the blooming of pink spring flowers. The Celts called it the Budding or Seed Moon, while Anglo-Saxons knew it as the Egg Moon, marking the stirrings of new life. Moonrise: 21:11
A soft, peach-tinted full moon glows against a dusky mauve sky. Its surface is clearly visible, with pale crater markings giving it a gentle, textured look. A band of low, blue-grey clouds stretches across the bottom of the frame, adding depth and contrast. The scene captures the calm beauty of April’s Pink Moon, rising in still evening light.
