Leaf it out

A single freshly fallen green oak leaf that is yellowing at the tip and has a yellow midrib vein, laying on a bed of dead brown leaves. The green leaf it dotted all over in freshly fallen raindrops that are circular and varying in size.

This is where I post from

Word

A grey heron, wings spread, taking flight over a canal which is dotted with small lilies against a backdrop of by lush green reeds.

A dead tree, devoid of leaves against a blue sky with patchy clouds. Two red kites perch facing one-another on the tips of adjacent skyward-pointing branches in the 'canopy'

Stopped me in my tracks

A wide aspect shot of a pine wood following an autumnal rain shower. A light mist hangs in the air catching crepuscular rays as they shoot through the canopy at 45º from the top right and illuminate the damp ochre ground and green, yellowing, and browning ferns in the foreground.

A strong affordance for climbing. One day I will.

A high contrast black & white photo of a tree that looks incredibly climbable. The trunk forks close to the ground, with one bough at almost 45º. Both boughs fork after a few feet into thick lateral perches that ultimately sweep back up towards the canopy. The sun pierces the canopy, illuminating a patch of undergrowth beneath a perch.

Sunlit moss

A tight crop of the root flare of a tree that is carpeted in lush fuzzy moss and lit by a strong directional edge-light from the sun off on the right. Skinny tree trunks of stand leaning in a gentle cross-cross in the background, obscured by bokeh.

Ronald McDonald Killed by The Hamburgular

Police arrested the miscreant in the early hours of the morning following a violent altercation

Witnesses recount a vicious attack

Grimace to take over interim leadership duties

The Hamburgular is currently awaiting trial

Justice may yet prevail

Catching a killer

Police confirmed The Hamburgular has been arrested for first degree murder following the death of Ronald McDonald this morning.
Witnesses shared clips of the violent scene that rocked McDonalds HQ in which Ronald McDonald is seen to be strangled with a comically large tie behind the collection counter. The attack was cut short when Grimace vaulted the counter with a steel chair, however paramedics were tragically unable to resuscitate Mr.McDonald pronouncing him dead at the scene at 01:36.

Experts have criticised on-site facial recognition systems which failed to positively identify The Hamburgular upon entering the premises. One member of staff who asked to remain anonymous said “Bro wears a hat and a mask, why the fuck didn’t we install a computer vision system that can deal with that kind of variance”.

$MCD took a steep dive when markets re-opened this morning but soon recovered following the news that Grimace would be stepping in resume leadership duties.
