Usually because—at least in film and television—it was a living person, holding their breath and locking their muscles and hoping they wouldn’t sweat through their corpse makeup before the shoot was over.
But the real dead…
They were dead.

So I generally like the trend of pull tab style safety seals to remove them more easily, but this one is so tiny it's actually making it *harder* to get the damn tube of hand cream open. ...see, this is why I need to go back to sharpening my nails. Just slide the point under the edge and yeet it.

Not the best photo as I had to be super quiet and stealthy to get my phone and angle to get them in the shot without waking them, but *look at them.*
