It’s unfortunate that unless the #Phillies get rid of Dombrowski, nothing is really going to change. I don’t trust him to hire a manager, i don’t trust him to make trades, I don’t trust him to sigh the right free agents. Until he’s gone, Middleton is just rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

And with that, the #Phillies season comes to a disappointing conclusion. Changes need to happen, but given the contracts, I’m just not sure how they can be made. Firing Mattingly and/or Dombrowski won’t change the underperforming and overpaid core. We’re stuck with them for the foreseeable future.

What pisses me off is that we could’ve won that game if the #Phillies bullpen wasn’t so bad. But did Dombrowski do anything to fix it at the deadline? Nope. He goes and gets another outfielder who isn’t even on the Wild Card roster. And now Duran isn’t even available for Game 2. What a shitshow.
