It’s kind of weird…Tennessee was certainly a confederate state, but the eastern part was Union. The University of Tennessee (Vols) name is literally from the Volunteers which fought on the Union side.

Reserve to AD means full time pay vs reserve pay and be a great boost to someone underemployed or temporarily out of a job. Also, the more AD time you have the more points you receive for whatever retirement system they operate under now. Most of the E4-6 I saw were POC.

I didn’t mean to infer you were badmouthing them, just my view that many of them there would rather be somewhere else. People sign all sorts of things without realizing the sentiment. They wouldn’t sign the National Ensign but probably didn’t think twice about the DC Flag. Veni, vidi, vici mindset.

I won’t badmouth the Guard. They are soldier servants who joined for many of the reasons I did (different branch). Everyone wants to believe in the chain of command. This was not one of those missions they envisioned. Nobody who swears an oath foresees the CinC is actually a domestic threat/traitor.

I was in DC earlier this week staying in a hotel where many were berthed. It was apparent these soldiers are demoralized and their hearts are not in whatever the fuck mission they are supposed to conduct. They are not in high crime areas and just killing time showing presence with no end in sight.

I don’t even know where you would find it there. I get it in Baltimore and it’s brewed by PBR now so who knows where it’s brewed and distributed. One things for sure, it’s not overly carbonated. Usually the last beer in the fridge. Mostly just a traditional to wash down your crabs with.
