Giving your dog more safe, appropriate chewing opportunities can help to improve problems like barking and destructiveness. Chewing can also help to reduce your dog’s stress levels, and giving your dog a long-lasting chew can be a positive way to support their emotional wellbeing. 🐾 #dogtraining

Statement on Generative AI by ThinkDogs Training & Behaviour / ThinkDogs Creative We are proud to promote human-made creations and do not use generative AI in any of our content. #dogtraining #dogtrainer #positivereinforcement #forcefree #dogillustration

White text on a blue background reading:

“Statement on Generative AI 📢

(Updated - as this is even more relevant with the launch of ThinkDogs Creative and the Dog Drawings Bundle as a product on our website.)

As a dog trainer and behaviour professional who is also an artist, I am passionate about authentic creative expression.

This statement concerns the use of generative AI, which I have had growing concerns around and is becoming more prevalent to see within the industry.

Generative AI refers to image, audio and text generation that is usually done through the use of LLMS such as ChatGPT or Sora.

The generation of content through use of AI has major concerns. These models are trained on stolen work from artists, musicians and writers who did not consent to this. AI generates no unique content, which means that AI-generated content always involves plagiarism. Artists and creatives are losing jobs due to gen AI.

Gen AI also has a huge toll on the environment. As an animal lover and ethical, progressive professional, I have concerns about the impact that the tremendous amounts of water needed to power AI centres has on communities and the globe (and thus, humans and animals alike).

There are large corporations that financially benefit from AI who are using their money to go towards human rights abuses and the funding of far right political movements that seek to further harm vulnerable communities.

All content at ThinkDogs Training & Behaviour is proudly human-made, including the illustrations of my dogs Maya and Logan in this post that I made myself.

This also includes everything produced as part of ThinkDogs creative.

I always welcome followers to share their own actual artwork and creations, and I encourage other professionals and organisations to take a stand against gen AI/“AI slop” content too.

If you are interested in supporting human-made artwork, check out the ThinkDogs Creative section on our website!

- Jasper”

My post for #AutismAcceptanceMonth as an openly autistic dog trainer and behaviour consultant who is also pleased to support many autistic dog guardians and autism assistance dog handlers. Happy Autism Acceptance Month! #actuallyautistic #dogtraining #dogtrainer #positivereinforcement #forcefree

White text on a dark background reading:

“April is Autism Acceptance Month - as an autistic trainer and behaviour consultant who also works with a number of wonderful autistic dog guardians and autism assistance dog handlers, I am pleased to be celebrating neurodiversity and the autistic community this month.

I am proud to be openly autistic and to work alongside many other wonderful neurodivergent training colleagues as well as my brilliant clients.

This month, I would like to emphasise education - if you’re a trainer, be curious and try to explore how you can make your practices more inclusive for autistic people. Avoid supporting organisations that promote outdated models of autism or harmful, abusive ‘treatment’ protocols. Listen to autistic voices from a diverse range of backgrounds.

I also recently got the chance to get some nice photos in the bluebells with the dogs - sharing some autistic joy. 🌈

Happy Autism Acceptance Month! ♾️
