Just learned Dave Ball keyboard player from 80s pop duo Soft Cell has passed away. His growling bass lines and Northern Soul influences combined with Marc Almond’s clever lyrics were pretty special. Both fine art students from Leeds Poly - they were our voice in the limelight. Dave Ball. RIP.
