tldr for those who have not been in tune with the lore

Marion grew up in a rural town where there was a superstition involving a beast who lives in the forest and eats the humans who provoke him. After he gets older and leaves for the big city, he's the victim of a string of traumatic incidents that leave him despondent and mentally unwell. Haunted and without the will to live, he travels back to his home town in an attempt to be the next victim of the beast-- on his own terms.

bad news for him though that doesnt happen and now he's in a situationship with a sexy dilf who may or may not have been experimented on by the government and now lives alone bc he keeps eating people (broken heart emoji) love wins
