Fantastic day out at Torrside. Great beers, nice food, and came home with some bottles to stash away for Christmas too. #Beer 🍻

It’s been a busy week but thankfully the weekend is finally here! Starting it with the ‘House IPA’ by Dugges in my new glass from The Craft Diaries. What a beer to find on a supermarket shelf. #Beer 🍻

Finished watching ‘The Shards’ last night. Loved it. Such a classy and well told series, full of weird and complex characters. It hooked me in so quickly. Fingers crossed for a series 2. #TheShards

Went canoeing across the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct today. Weather was prefect for it in the end. Deserve a beer or two after all that rowing.

Nik @thingsbynik.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

Not bad Saturday afternoon at all. Cheers to more beers. 🍻

Nik @thingsbynik.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

When in Wales for the weekend, got to start with a beer from a Welsh brewery.

Home for the weekend. Weather is due to get better and I’ve got plenty of beers. That’s me sorted. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

Decided to switch from Spotify and give Apple Music a go as works out cheaper. Managed to transfer over my playlists pretty easily, so that’s a good start. 🎵

Good win that. Thought it would be much harder than it was, some good performances out there. Thought Nyoni did well and showed what we have been missing in midfield. Koumas was fantastic too, relentless. #LFC

Nik @thingsbynik.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

Nyoni and MacAllister spent the first half playing one in front and one behind, which worked. Midfield looked like it had structure. Szoboszlai and Gravenberch have come on and our midfiled looks messy now. #LFC

Nik @thingsbynik.bsky.social · 15/09/2026

Think it will be a tough game tonight, one I am not sure we will win. Will be a completly different starting 11, some will have no fitness, no fluidity, but good to see how certain players play. Personally think it’s a big game for Nyoni. #LFC

Nik @thingsbynik.bsky.social · 12/09/2026

Haven’t seen any of the action from today, just the result and the fans reaction. Sounds a very poor game which is disappointing but not surprising at this stage. Believe Gravenberch played poorly again. Surely it’s not long before Nyoni gets selected ahead of him? #LFC

Nik @thingsbynik.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

Had a post work pint in the pub earlier, but now looking forward to a chilled evening at home. Grab some snacks, open a beer, and watch the last two episodes of Silo S3. Sometimes Friday nights in front of the TV are the best.

The weekend is finally here, and the sun has come out too. Starting my weekend with a pint of Mobberley Best Bitter. 🍺 👌🏻

Just started watching Ludwig S2 and this ‘anamorphic lenses’ approach they have taken is weird and off putting. Too much of the picture looks blurry all the time.

Nik @thingsbynik.bsky.social · 10/09/2026

Currently playing the game of “cancelling my Sky subscription unless they make me a better offer” game. Joys of adult life.

The smile on Iraolas face, saying he is lucky to be here, taking some of the blame, and speaking passionately. That’s what you went to see from a manager. #LFC

070

Great win that. Some things to still work on, but can see the Iraola style coming though. The difference watching LFC this season is huge. They are exciting to watch, and even at 1-0 down I had confidence they could still win it. #LFC

000

Gravenberch and Frimpong have brought nothing to this game as subs. They have weakened us in this 2nd half. #LFC

000

LFC have hit that point where they look tired now. Less running, less movement. Need to be very careful here as Athletico are building some dangerous attacks. #LFC

000

The officiating and management of the rules in this game has been shocking. Isak having to leave the pitch but the Athletico player not sums it up. Shit show from the officials. #LFC

Looking forward to the match tonight. Will be a tough one, always is against them, but the fact I’m looking forward to it is a plus. That feeling completely went last season. #LFC

Started watching the Mandalorian series with my son as he’s getting into Star Wars now. I still think this TV series is basically just one big RPG style video game. Do missions, do side missions, make money, level up, improve armour and weapons, make friends / enemies.

Russell not acknowledging Antonelli at all after Antonellis win. Clearly annoyed, clearly bitter. #F1

This Azvex Brewery stout is like melted nutty chocolate in a glass. It’s so thick and sweet. It’s lethal! #Beer

Haven’t been to Azvex Taproom for ages, so thought I would correct that today whilst in Liverpool.

Come into Liverpool city centre today with the family. Haven’t been in for ages. First thing we see is a crime scene taped off with police stood guarding it. Not a good start….

110

Happy with that performance. Team tired in the 2nd half which was to be expected. Still work to be done, but lots of promising signs. #LFC

Much better performance by LFC for that 1st half. Passing, pressing, energy, movement all improved. Liked the interchanging of positions from our players, always making sure there’s space. Promising signs. #LFC

000

Gakpo is looking like the Gakpo we originally signed rather than the Gakpo of last season under Slot. This Gakpo needs to stay in the squad. #LFC

That the Isak we want to see! #LFC

A beer from a Liverpool brewery to enjoy whilst watching the Liverpool match. Come on LFC, a confident win tonight please!

Started playing Two Point Museum over the weekend. Hooked me straight in, love these kind of games. Been a fan since the original Theme Hospital days.

Feel for Iraola. Going to be a struggle with that squad depth. When we do badly in all cups and finish 6th in the league, he will be labelled as a failure by likes of Sky Sports, comparing to how well likes of Alonso and Maresca have done. They have been backed, he hasn’t. #LFC

Nik @thingsbynik.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

Really happy with the Barcola signing, he will make a massive difference on that left wing. May even help Kerkez out. Still massively disappointed with the squad depth. LFCs first 11 will look strong, but the bench will be weak all season. Shocking poor planning. #LFC

110

Disappointing result. Another game which shows why LFC need a RB and a CM, and how much it could improve this team massively. Good to see Isak score and great 2nd half from Munoz. Lots of work to be done. Hopefully Iraola is backed with the signings he needs but i doubt it. #LFC

000

Two things have improved this performance in that 2nd half for me. A change at RB, and Nyoni coming into CM. Shows what fans have been calling out for all summer, LFC need a quality RB and a CM willing to do the defensive work and be available in space. #LFC

000

As much as I criticise Gakpo, that was brilliant by him then to lead up to that goal. #LFC

How many times a game does Szoboszlai run towards the player and not the space the player will move into!? He has just done it again. His pressing runs are in a straight line and so easy to bypass. #LFC

000

My worry with this LFC team is they don’t have the smart footballing brain they need. Some great technically ability, but mentally do some stupid stuff. Szoboszlai an example in this first half, some nice footballing ability but some stupid decisions and passes. #LFC

Barcola will be looking at this and cancelling his move to LFC. Very poor so far. #LFC

My wife’s birthday today. It’s been a busy one for me and my bank account. Presents. Breakfast. Flowers. Drinks. Snacks. The day isn’t even over yet….

Looking at the goings on at LFC, the only person from the club, players aside, giving me any hope is Iraola. He speaks well, genuinely seems to want the best, and speaks openly about needing to improve the squad. No one from behind the scenes gives me any hope at all. #LFC
