If you though #amazon #nova was going to be like #titan, think again... I think the Nova Lite offers a really good switch spot of quality, speed and price. Higher quality & way faster than llama3.1 70B, with a crazy low 0.1 USD per 1M tokens (vs 26.3USD per 1M token of o1-preview)... 🤯

It was published 8 months after the Transformers paper and 4 years before ChatGPT. We still struggle a lot in measuring these intangible impacts on productivity that might arise from having Assistants/Copilots or just better search mechanisms... :-/

Hardest part when talking about Architecture Modernization with customers? Making them step away from the "feature parity" / tech mindset and realize this is a sociotechnical problem, not a problem looking for a cloud/kubernetes/lambda solution.

Is it real that a Stanford research talks about “ghost engineers” as people that don’t push commits or based that on some questions as “how long would you take to do this?”. The best proxy for his “productivity findings” is LoC… fantastic
