I agree, 15 years won`t make it. To me it makes more sense to notice that history has overrun the US. There won`t be a revival. Just like the Roman empire oder the empire of Alexander the Great or the British empire. All of them once were mighty, seemed to be invincible. But each one of them failed.

Yes, you`re almost right. 57,7 % voted for Kremlin parties (AFD, BSW, SED). So, there are actually more than 40% left that still voted for parties, that focus German interests (in contrast to Putin`s interests)... To me, that`s frightening, nevertheless.

I’d have made the same decision. I spent some time in Southern Texas back in 1978. Being a Catholic, even not deeply rooted, I did get very scary remarks by the bible-belt fundamentalists. Never again, I felt that uncomfortable in my entire life. Was happy to leave, never returned. I am a MD.
