Such a good little man. He doesn’t bite me nearly as often as I deserve, considering that I make the same dumb “you can tune a piano, but you can’t tuna fish” joke at least once a day, every day, when I’m feeding him.
A gray and white cat with blue eyes is standing and looking at the camera, from a 45 degree angle. He’s a handsome lad.

Animal Disposition -- DO NOT REPLY
Dear Finder,
We would first like to thank you for caring so much about the animal(s) that you brought to our facility. We are a state and federally licensed wildlife rehabilitation center that accepts over 7,900 animals per year and receives no government funding. Our staff and volunteers strive to provide the best medical care and husbandry for the animals that are admitted to our facility. Our primary goal, in every possible case, is to rehabilitate and release back to the wild. Below is the status of the animal(s) that you admitted into our care:
Intake #: 26-5406
Date of admission: 9/3/26
Species: Least Tern
Disposition: Euthanized on arrival
Cause of Disposition: Wing Fracture
Unfortunately, this animal's injuries were too severe and we decided to humanely euthanize. Though the animal passed away, you can be assured that it did not suffer while under our care. Unfortunately, not all wild animals survive if they are too seriously compromised by the time that they are admitted into our care. Many animals suffer for days or more with injuries or without parents before they are found and brought to our facility. Blood loss, dehydration, and lack of nutrition can be very serious in wild animals.
**Due to the volume of emails that we receive daily we are not able to provide detailed information or further information on animal dispositions. We truly appreciate your efforts bringing this animal to our facility for care.

Lucy is looking pretty good these days. I like what they did with her toenails.
Lucy the Elephant, a historic landmark in Margate, NJ. She’s a six-story building shaped like an elephant, and one of the oldest remaining roadside attractions in America.

I got rained on while I was taking this picture, so you better enjoy it.

I was out with my mom today and we found a juvenile tern (least tern, maybe?) with an injured wing, so we caught it in a box and took it up to the wildlife rehab in Medford. Hope they can get it fixed up.
A small bird with an injured wing, confined inside a cardboard box and viewed through the opening at the top.
