Alexander Stanton @thewormling.bsky.social · 09/08/2026And I wonder why no one wants to commission me for anything anymore. Ah well, more shit goblins for me I guess. 1211
Alexander Stanton @thewormling.bsky.social · 09/08/2026A few pages of this weeks no reference figure drawing practice. Will be attempting to do some pages of couples and unusual angles next week. Not expecting them to be pretty, but will hopefully lead to getting better at all this. And clothing. Clothing both simplifies and complicates things. 0242
Alexander Stanton @thewormling.bsky.social · 09/08/2026this movie brings life to that for me. Makes me, in a sense, feel seen, and reminds me that the right person can fill that hollowness. It’s the revolving door of lost, found and lost. Bittersweet. A fleeting joy that you can never return to. Anyway. More studies like this coming next week. 040
Alexander Stanton @thewormling.bsky.social · 09/08/2026Scene studies from Lost In Translation. I wouldn’t say that I had an all out favourite film, but this would likely make the list. Despite only watching it a year or so ago, I’ve been besotted with it ever since. I often feel like there’s a chunk of me missing. A hollow, kind of sadness. Somehow 1253

Alexander Stanton @thewormling.bsky.social · 03/08/2026Might come back to this one at some point later in the month and add some more colour (yellow highlights might look cool). 030
Alexander Stanton @thewormling.bsky.social · 03/08/2026Cyberpunk(ish) scene. As mentioned before, I’ll be focusing way more on trying to create scenes and settings from imagination from now on. And I don’t have a plan or idea for these, they just kinda appear out of thin air, so they’re never quite right, but I’m all for those happy accidents. 1315

Alexander Stanton @thewormling.bsky.social · 31/07/2026No reference figure sketches. Really tried to get a handle on understanding the figure and drawing it more naturally without a reference this month. Lots of examples in July’s download artbook (hint hint): 0331
Alexander Stanton @thewormling.bsky.social · 31/07/2026This month’s artbook is now available to download from my Patreon, Ko-Fi and Gumroad (links in bio). It’s over 110 pages of handmade art, from my recent anatomy and storyboard studies, to my no reference figure, monsters and everything else in between. 060
Alexander Stanton @thewormling.bsky.social · 31/07/2026Thank you for all the replies! Wasn’t expecting that many. Ended going for 1+2 in different parts of the book. Appreciate your input. 010
Alexander Stanton @thewormling.bsky.social · 31/07/2026It’s free, but with a paid option, so if you’re feeling generous and would like me to keep doodling, please do support me by leaving a tip. Either way, I hope you enjoy looking through all the pages I filled throughout July. 000
Alexander Stanton @thewormling.bsky.social · 30/07/2026Right, I have a new artbook out tomorrow, and want to put a photo in there of myself. Trouble is, I loathe taking photos of myself. I’ve pinned it down to these three. They all feel a bit silly to me, but would appreciate a preference (if you have one). And I know, I should learn to smile. 11140
