Went with a mate to what I can only describe as corporate resort. Not my thing, not wonky enough. So I’d get off n sit with me dog at this spot. Just being wonky with the grasses. #oilpainting #painting #artist #composition #blueskyartshow #art #colour #canvas #landscape #grass #impressionism

Vibrant landscape painting of a golden-yellow field under a swirling blue sky. In the background, rolling hills in shades of green and orange are dotted with clusters of trees, their leaves painted with warm, expressive brushstrokes. The scene has a flowing, textured style reminiscent of impressionist or post-impressionist art.

Building tonight’s prismatic palette, see where this leads? Quinacridone magenta/Cobalt blue/cadmium yellow n white in the middle to keep things exciting. #paint #colour #palette #artist #oilpaint #prismatic

An artist’s palette with colours mixed from magenta to blue to yellow around the edges and white paint in the centre, ready for mixing. There are also brushes and tubes of paint ready to be used at the bottom half of the picture.

A canvas panel held in an easel. The panel is painted with a simple landscape with oil paints.

Back when I was learning and developing pt.5 Working with just two pigments, paint the whole canvas one colour, work in the other colour…figure out what goes on in the space between, or summit Cad yellow to cobalt blue n a mixing white #oilpainting #testingtesting

Back when I was learning and developing pt4 I moved over to oil/canvas from these wee fellas - acrylic, thin paint, fast drying glazes - but the hand cramps and brain strain got to me, so much so I had to find a much looser medium and relearn to keep painting #minipainting #model #acrylic

Back when I was learning and developing my fundamentals pt.3 Plein air in the back of a mates van somewhere down south Each of these were about learning colour and how to work with different pigments, I gave all 3 away, which is probably a sign that I liked them, a lot from then went in the bin!

Oil painting of golden meadows, looming tree lines and passing clouds. Bold and vibrant colours
