all the OFMD loveliness on here lately has reminded me that I haven't posted a lot of my art on bsky yet- here's one ⛈️☀️🌈

I'd like to share an advancement I've made in the pursuit of an even more accessible 'lil guy dinner' presenting: tavern fare because who am I, if not a weary traveler in need of fuel on my adventure?

a photo of a black square plate, matte finish and wood grain texture, holding a roughly torn section of baguette, a hastily sectioned wedge of brie, and a whole apple. a pale hand holds the place over a white desk, and a desk mat made to look like those classic rugs for kids with roads and towns on them. a drawing tablet and various desk trinkets can be seen in the background.

for #TDOV, I want to share a page from an autobio comic I'm working on, depicting a very real moment of reflection in a recent bath. I hope all my fellow trans/GNC folks can find a moment of peace today 🏳️‍⚧️🫧

a black and white comic page shaded with screen tones, showing the artist in a steam-filled bathroom, taking a bath, and admiring the bubbles in their hands, scars from gender-affirming top surgery also visible. In three boxes, the text reads, "Right now, my government is out there, doing everything they can to dehumanize trans people." "But here I am, in a bubble bath, playing with bubbles-" "...what could be more human than that?"

(2/2) here's the final comic, and a photo from the very next day, feeling a level of peace and joygreater than I'd been able to imagine - this is trans joy, this is why gender affirming care is lifesaving 🏳️‍⚧️💖

I'm guessing I must've been added to a starter pack, because wowza there's a lot of new folks following little old me! Hello! I'm Brighton, they/he, and I'm an artist- a little sporadically these days, but I'd like to think I can still supply some bangers once in a while- welcome!

just finished 'They Called Us Enemy' by @georgetakei.bsky.social we MUST learn from history-& also recognize that I've just tagged 'history' on bsky; it wasn't long ago, and yet, it's happening again right now, & it's up to us to stop it. All, please go read this masterpiece. Thank you, George 🌸🖖

A well deserved honor, congrats on the 10k!!🎉 I'm Brighton, a transmasc & autistic artist who's coming to terms with really not being built for client work, etc, so recently I've pivoted to more personal art & hopefully developing a graphic novel! (also big love re: your recent comic, samesies❤️‍🩹)

never stop drawing!! 🖌️🐛✨ 2007 ➡️ 2025

a pencil drawing on printer paper of an "edgy"-lookin spiky haired anime boy in the foreground, with headphones around his neck and a yin-yang upper arm tattoo, and a girl standing in the background with the classic emo girl asymmetrical hair cut, all pulled over one eye, in a plaid skirt and converse clutching a book- truly the epitome of a 6th-grade masterpiece, ridden with pre-teen angst and not an anatomically correct feature in sight

a digital painting (made to resemble mixed media- marker, watercolor, colored pencil, etc) portrait of a sly & sultry Astarion of BG3, with evidence of his last meal smeared on his mouth, the back of one hand/arm, and the knuckles of the other. My favorite and proudest piece in a long time. Structurally, texturally, compositionally, etc- it's nice when I make something that reminds me I do have plenty to show for all my years of hard work.

my #ComicsDNA !! I believe I truly do have comics in my DNA, as my dad has shared his passion for the medium from the start; "Bone" served as our most cherished bedtime story (he does great voices), and his copy of @scottmccloud.bsky.social 's classic has become an often-read treasure & guide 💖

learning to play again, ft. astarion & something like a camera flash ✨

a screenshot of the artist's Clip Studio Paint interface as they're working on a facing-forward, shoulders up portrait of Astarion from BG3, digitlally painted and rendered in a way that mimics the look of a photo taken at night with the camera flash on, his red eyes lit up with whited-out pupils, with the highest points of light leaning pink, and the darkest values taking a green/blue hue, fading into black. The look on his face is dangerous, making eye contact with the viewer, lips curled into a smirk that does not reach his eyes.

tfw you're not sure if he's lookin' at you like a ✨snack✨, or a 🩸snack🩸 this was ridiculously fun, I'm so pleased with all the textures!! close-ups in replies ^^

a digital artwork depicting Astarion from Baldur's Gate 3, in a pose as if resting a forearm on a table, and the other elbow also resting on the table, hand cradling his face. He has a dark shirt with laces across the low neckline, and blood smeared on the corner of his mouth, the back of his hand, forearm, and knuckles. He's looking slyly and perhaps sultrily to the side, possibly eyeing a (literal or figurative) snack. The piece is made to resemble a mixed media traditional artwork, mimicking the textures of watercolor painting and colored pencil. Around Astarion's head is a collection of sketchy, pencil-textured doodles of sparkles, and behind his head is a slightly faded but golden image of the scars on his back, serving as a bit of an iconographic halo.

finally some proper character art for my boy Cyprian, half-triton trickster cleric of Besmara, the Pirate Queen 🏴‍☠️🌊🐟 💙 inspired by cuttlefish, he's bioluminescent, and can somewhat change his colors & patterns, usually for intimidation I just think he's neat ^^ #OCsky #ttrpg #characterart

(I forgot my iPod in the previous post, so I just HAD to put the photos side by side) This is your sign: in 2025, tune into whatever the fuck your brain decides is a dopamine & serotonin factory, and RUN WITH IT! EMBRACE IT! If you're scared of seeming "cringe", pity the cringers!! You are FREE!!

I'm working on D&D stuff at a coffee shop today, and I'm delighted to report that, right down to 'Tea For The Tillerman', my belongings are both perfectly coordinated, and fiercely giving Fisher-Price 💅❤️💛💙💚

Propped up on a chair, a brightly primary-colored backpack with large areas of red, yellow, blue, and green; on the backpack is a matching Blue's Clues acrylic keychain (made by OP!) , a blue and green mini magnetic sketching board keychain, and a primary colored cassette tape player themed with Miffy the bunny, beside a tape case of the album "Tea For The Tillerman", which is precisely the blue that matches everything else.

enjoying the 'christmas cookies with my morning coffee' season while it lasts 😩👌👌👌

A photo of mug of coffee behind a small wooden bowl containing two decorated sugar cookies: one tree, and one white duck. The mug displays a quote from Brennan Lee Mulligan on Dropout's 'GameChanger', and behind the mug a velvety golden dice bag in a wooden dice tray can be seen

a little #Astarion painterly study, my first art of the year- though it pains me, I will NOT be refining it to death or even resolving it, hopefully setting a tone for the year of making art for the sake of fun & indulgence, rather than profit & perfectionism 🤞🤞🤞

still quite pleased with this @worldsbeyondnumber.bsky.social cookie I decorated last week 🧡💚💙 I made a d4 and d6 as well, but those ended up being the much needed practice rounds for this one...tasty though✨

a sugar cookie, shaped like a 20-sided die, frosted with marbled shimmery orange and teal, made to resemble the cover art of the D&D podcast "Worlds Beyond Number". The edges of the d20 are outlined in slightly wobbly white frosting, and there's a white '20' on the center surface.

coming out of a dryyyyyy spell art-wise, I'm really quite pleased with these ✨❤️‍🔥🩸🦇✨ the two large sketches were with reference, the other two without- I think I'm getting the hang of his face! [ #Astarion • #BG3fanart • #DigitalSketch ]

I recently unearthed my middle school iPod (circa. '07), and could not have been more elated to rediscover this timely and poignant treasure. @hankgreen.bsky.social , like a sleeper agent, I hit play and was reactivated and knew every single word, particularly the "42695.3"- thank you for this 🤘✨
