The theme and the music are just fine, it's very country music to stick with pat themes like infidelity and loss and Texas. Langley's twang is a little hokey for me, but her singing is fine and so is the music.

As a native Texan of a certain age I'm not immune to the appeal of the country music of 50 years ago and it's been about that long since big silver jewelry with turquoise was the style with the hippies and the bikers and the dopers of my south Texas childhood.

Of course you're right, my observation was skin-deep and intended as such. May I ask how Sliwa is more dangerous than McInnes? As viewed from Texas, Sliwa always seemed like more of a regional figure to me, but McInnes in his heyday had more national sweep -- Proud Boys, a TV show, Takimag, etc
