Pretty much this, I have never cared much for literal scatological humor, or plenty of the other ideas he puts him games. But the games tend to be good and he always seems like a nice guy who means no harm.

To be fair Edmund has always been controversial, he seem to enjoy using his art to express his trauma or controversial ideas. I can understand not wanting to support a game but from what I know Edmund is a good guy even if I, or anyone disagrees with his choices at times.
