this is a part of why it’s so hard for me to take a lot of what I see & read seriously. people writing threads and articles and books on “how to protect the most vulnerable” while standing in rooms that never include disabled immunocompromised trans women because they’d have to be masked in them.

I love being Black and having locs. It’s an act of decolonizing my perception of beauty and femininity, having and keeping my locs through my transition. It’s hard to feel pretty and girly a lot of days bc of how masculinized / demonized my hair has been, and still is but I’ll never give it up🖤
