Most important lessons I learned as a med student: 1. How to do CPR 2. If you show up to a real code (eg it’s a real arrest & not syncope etc) there is no reason to panic. The person is, by definition, dead & you cannot make that situation worse; you can only go up from there. #medsky

As a PGY1 I had 4 patients die of untx’d AIDS bc they refused ART for herbs. This kind of tragedy got worse during the pandemic, & with RFK as head of HHS it will continue to worsen. Years of being in ICU means I accept that I cannot help everyone. A good reminder as we approach the coming chaos.
