I’ve never run into this. On the right is four coats of purple paint. I primed this mini black. Put a coat of purple-ish black on top and… nothing. Didn’t show *any* purple. Just the black. Put another coat on. No purple just black. Switched to a purple contrast and just slathered it on.

Stormcast Eternal Liberator is finished! Wanted to do him in all metallics (had to fudge a little with the jade) and I really like the way he turned out. Also picked up an emerald paint (it’s what I used for the jade highlights) and I’m really looking forward to using that more.

Meet Gourmet! He’s a Warlord of Chaos from Dungeons & Lasers. I like how he turned out but I kind of wished I had gone into this with more of an idea what I was going to do. This was my first attempt at NMM look with the gauntlet and it turned out… okay? Not great but good practice.

New Tyranid! I’ve been playing some Space Marine 2 so I decided to paint up a Tyranid. Wanted some fun bright colors so I decided to add a little bit of glow in the dark paint. I really like how it turned out and I really like how the colors pop! #Warhammer40K

Finished up what I have deemed “Space Marine and his Amazing Technicolor Power Armor”. Annnnd it was kind of a pain in the butt. Every little part had to be painted a different color and when you accidentally touched another part you had to repaint it. Took way longer than I expected. #Warhammer40K

Painted some Warhammer 40K today! Decided to do another Drukhari Scourge. Mostly because I wanted something with a flat surface to try out something. While at the mall a store had a metal sign that I wanted to try and paint in the same style of. It didn’t turn out like I wanted but I do like it.

I bought these two makeup brush cleaners for $3 at Five Below and they have suction cups on them. Really helps with brush cleaning while I’m painting miniatures.

So this was one of the easiest #Warhammer figures I’ve painted, but probably one of my favorites when it comes to the end product. The most difficult part was finding parts for the plinth. The center column is a cut up chapstick tube, and the base is one I had from a DnD miniature I painted.

New Chaos Space Marine painted! Really liked painting this guy until I tried to attach his arms and gun and then everything went to hell. Ended up having to pin the arms as well as using UV resin and super glue to keep them on. Tried something new with the base as well. #Warhammer40K

Painted up a Drukhari Scourge from Warhammer 40K. I had absolutely no idea going into it what i wanted it to look like, and about halfway through changed what I was doing and went for this kind of fire look instead. Not very grimdark but I like how it turned out.

Not going to lie, not the best #Warhammer 40K miniature I’ve painted. Lot of things did not go right. Couldn’t get the paint constancy… consistent. Couldn’t get the highlights how I wanted. And I don’t even know what happened to the base, going to have to redo it. Still like the color scheme though.

I’ve wanted to paint a bunch of space marines in fluorescent colors for a while. I decided today would be a good day to start! This was a free guy I got at the Warhammer store, but eventually I’m going to get a box of them to finish. Also fluorescent paint is kind of a pain to work with.

Warhammer 40K Chaos Marine done! So one thing I’ve learned about myself and painting is I really need a game plan going into it. This time… I did not. I was going for a kind of dirty, patina brass look and oddly it shows up way better in real life than it did in these pictures.

Fat dragon wearing sweat pants! I knew how he would look, what color he would be, etc. but found out my paint works entirely differently on 3D printed figures compared to say Warhammer. I called an audible and I think it turned out well. Eventually he will be part of a diorama I have planned.

Bam! Another Warhammer 40k miniature painted. This is one of the Ironguts which I know absolutely nothing about lore wise, but liked the look of their set and bought it. The amount of customization for the set is kind of crazy and I’m looking forward to assembling the rest.
