The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 19/09/2026This comic is from a series where we went to the UK for a comic festival last year (2025). #comicfestivaltravelogues #crochet #redpoppies 1264
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Also, I don’t know why I didn’t believe that a British shorthair cat breed was real?? They look so distinct and so… British?? I’d never met one before! 070
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 16/09/2026I believe that cat people are safe people. This comic is about a trip we took to the UK last year (November 2025). #comicfestivaltravelogues #britishshorthairs #catpeople 1272
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 12/09/2026Today (Saturday September 12) I am in Iceland! At @siglufjordurcomicsfest in Siglufjörður! So come brave the snow (yes, snow) and say hi! As a reminder, this comic series is chronicling events from last year (2025),when we went to the UK. #comicfestivaltravelogues #makingfriends #meetingstrangers 0222
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 09/09/2026Just a reminder that this comic series is chronicling our travels to the UK last year (2025). THIS YEAR we’re going to Iceland and will be at @siglufjordurcomicsfest this weekend (Sept 11-13). Come say hi! #comicfestivaltravelogues #americanintheuk #uktravels 1152
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 07/09/2026I love visiting the non-touristy parts of a place! Like, for example, how I’ll be at (probably) the northern most comic festival in the world this Saturday! See you there? #comicfestivaltravelogues #britishrailway #offthebeatentrack 0153
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 03/09/2026If you know Eric you know he apologizes a LOT,but apparently British railways has him beat. Actually Eric seems like he’d fit in well in England, because most people we encountered there were very apologetic! We kept wondering if this was a real stereotype or if we just kept meeting apologetic people 060
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 03/09/2026Reminder that this comic series is chronicling my trip last year (2025) to the UK. #comicfestivaltravelogues #britishrailways #delayedtrain 1252
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 25/08/2026You ever buy something and it’s so far away that once you actually receive it it feels like it was free? Like preordering something that takes months to arrive or paying for concert tickets for next year? It’s fun, I like it. It feels like a gift. #comicfestivaltravelogues #traintravel 1273
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 23/08/2026Traveling is chaos, but train traveling is the best. #comicfestivaltravelogues #englandtrip #traintravel 1213
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 21/08/2026This comic series is about events that happened last year (2025) on our way to our first-ever comic festival. I felt like a kid starting at a new school. #comicfestivaltravelogues #makingfriends #newkid 0202
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 19/08/2026Can you sleep on a plane? I just got myself one of those pillows that actually straps your head to the chair headrest to keep it in place while you sleep. I’ll be taking an overnight flight next month and I hope it works! #comicfestivaltravelogues #sleeponplane #redeyeflight 0162
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 17/08/2026I was pleasantly surprised that I was allowed to bring my knitting needles onto the plane. But I did cart around a couple balls of wool and those needles on the entire trip and never ended up casting on. #comicfestivaltravelogues #longhaulflight #knittingonaplane 0222
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 15/08/2026Btw though I realize it looks like I’m taking over the personal space of the person next to me, that seat was in fact empty. Also, I’ll be in Iceland in a month at @siglufjordurcomicsfest ! If you’re in the area come say hi! #comicfestivaltravelogues #longhaulflight #kevinschili 1224
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 12/08/2026Have you HAD blackcurrant Skittles?? I wish I had some right now. They’re amazing! Check the comments to see a photo of me and my little brother. We probably had blackcurrant Skittles in our pockets in this photo. #comicfestivaltravelogues #blackcurrant #uktrip 1333
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 10/08/2026Also, in rummaging through an old box I discovered that I’d saved the UK newspaper I found on the bus the day after 9/11. It’s wild to look through. Buried deep in the paper is an interview with an actress about her upcoming show. Imagine being that person. 0100
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 10/08/2026I appreciate the way my parents put on a brave face to try to calm my little brother and I. #comicfestivaltravelogues #keepcalmandcarryon #neverforget 1263
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 09/08/2026This is how me and my family found out about 9/11. Also, come see me today (Sunday August 9) in Cheshire, CT for @connecticomix at @counterweightbrewingco for a free family friendly comic fest! #comicfestivaltravelogues #wherewereyou #neverforget 1203
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 07/08/2026Also! I’ll be bringing this ARC to have on display at @connecticomix this Sunday in Cheshire, CT, so come check it out in person. And if you missed the Kickstarter, you can get a preorder right now and it will be shipped out also in the fall. 040
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 07/08/2026Advance copies of Pilgrim’s book just came in and it looks amazing!! I can’t believe just how beautiful everything looks! #pilgrimthecat #advancereaderscopy #hardcover 3162
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 06/08/2026The first time I was ever on a plane (that I can remember) was on September 10, 2001. Also: Come see me this Sunday August 9 at @connecticomix in Cheshire, CT for a free comic festival! #comicfestivaltravelogues #neverforget #familytrip 1214
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 04/08/2026The events in this comic happened in early November 2025 (hence the first snow & tree sighting). Also: Come see me this Sunday (August 9) at @connecticomix in Cheshire, CT for a free family-friendly comic fest! #comicfestivaltravelogues #firstsnow #truckingtreesforchristmas 1173
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 02/08/2026Spoiler: They sat us together, but in the middle seats. It was fine. And the plane didn’t go down. #comicfestivaltravelogues #pickyourseat #upcharge 0210
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 31/07/2026I’ll be at @siglufjordurcomicsfest September 11-13, so come join us if you’re able! (You want to know why I applied? It was how they describe the fest as “probably the northernmost comics festival in the world”. It was the “probably” that really did it for me.) 050
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 31/07/2026The events in this comic happened last year (2025), and I never would have guessed that less than a year later I’d actually be attending a comic festival IN Iceland! #comicfestivaltravelogues #siglufjörður #comicfest 1182
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 29/07/2026But I WILL be at @connecticomix in Cheshire, CT on August 9! AND at @siglufjordurcomicsfest in Iceland September 11-13! So come say hi if you are able! 030
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 29/07/2026When your pros and cons list is equal. Reminder: The comics in this series are chronicling events that happened last year (2025). I will not be at Thought Bubble this year (sorry). #comicfestivaltravelogues #prosandcons #comicfestival 1202
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 27/07/2026Also a reminder! The events in this series took place a year ago (2025). I will not be attending Thought Bubble this year. But I WILL be at @connecticomix in Cheshire, CT on 8/9, and at @siglufjordurcomicsfest in Iceland 9/11-13! #comicfestivaltravelogues #comicfestival #smartchoices 030
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 27/07/2026For context: We did once attempt to break the world record for preforming a music show in all of the 50 US states in the fastest amount of time, and then I illustrated a 300 page graphic novel about it in less than a year. So yeah, I wouldn’t say “smart choices” are our norm. 2273
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 25/07/2026But, I WILL be participating in @connecticomix on August 9 in Cheshire, CT. And (exciting new announcement!) in @siglufjordurcomicsfest in Siglufjörður, Iceland! So come see me at either of those events if you’re able! 040
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 25/07/2026A reminder that the events in this series happened last year (2025). I did not apply to Thought Bubble this year and will not be attending (sorry). #comicfestivaltravelogues #acceptanceletter #comicfestival 1193
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 23/07/2026For example: I have recently been invited to participate in @connecticomix , a festival taking place in Cheshire, CT on August 9. (Also, being invited SO much nicer than applying!) If you’re local, come out! It’s a free event! 040
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 23/07/2026Btw, this comic series is chronicling events that happened a year ago (2025). Things have changed for me since then, but I wanted to show a little of what it was like applying and getting rejected from so many events. #comicfestivaltravelogues #comicfestival #thoughtbubblefestival 1203
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 21/07/2026Special thanks to @dcorsetto for commiserating with me about how frustrating getting rejected can be. And if you haven’t already, check out Danielle’s Pätrẽon! Eric & I show up in one of her recent daily comics! #comicfestivaltravelogues #rejectioncollection #comicfestival 1415
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 19/07/2026I’m also using this series as an opportunity to explore more colour in my comics. If you’re part of our Pätrėon you can read the first 4 comics in this series right now! Hope you enjoy! #comicfestivaltravelogue #comicfest #dealingwithrejection 050
The Touring Test @thetouringtest.bsky.social · 19/07/2026Hello! I’m starting a new comic series! Now that the Pilgrim series has concluded I’ve decided to dive into another autobio series that I’ve been thinking about a lot: The difficulties of “breaking into” the comic festival circuit and dealing with *~rejection~*! 2413
