Ok, so now that the calculator app on iPhones has history enabled, I’m going to need an incognito mode please

It depends, but occasionally I catch myself mid-sentence wondering where those words have come from and asking myself where I’m going with this line of thought 🫠

You see, it turns out observability is pretty useless because it doesn’t do anything. Yet... Somehow? It’s this thing that we’ve been able to grow into a multi billion dollar industry composed entirely out of “get a bunch of data, and then…” That’s it?? hazelweakly.me/blog/the-fut...

Found this GitHub Action that assigns a size to your PR from XS to XL based on customisable diff sizes (lines of codes and number of files changed) which looks like it might be useful: buff.ly/4ffT9fw #GitHub #DevOps

#AWS EKS Auto Mode is a game changer, lowering the barrier for entry and providing production-grade deployments with security baked in. Here's a brief overview of what that means: thetestlabs.io/posts/eks-au... #EKS #kubernetes #DevOps

Are there any starter packs out there for #AWS #DevOps folk?

Just want to thank all the folks nobody notices behind the scenes at #awsreinvent. It’s precisely because you’re so good at your jobs that nobody notices you. Thanks. It was a great conference. You made it possible, and I see and appreciate your work. 🥰

I have to admit, the #AWS announcement at #reinvent2024 for EKS Auto is a game changer. It lowers the barrier to entry for organisations who don't have a deep understanding of #kubenetes, instead relying on AWS's deep knowledge to make use of sensible defaults. Blog post to follow!

What are the logs saying, anything useful in there? Can you try deploying it using the console (you might get different errors which could be useful)

If the previous Lambda Function worked using that script, then I guess the next question is, what's different between the two Lambda functions?

Chris McQuaid @thetestlabs.io · 04/12/2024

I'd bet it's the Execution Role that provides the function with the necessary permissions. Obviously I might be wrong, check your logs and see what they say. docs.aws.amazon.com/lambda/lates...

It's really, really simple: it just looks for posts with #AWS and #reinvent in them. I was happily surprised that it worked!

I've been working remotely since 2018, way before Covid, so I think those jobs will still exist, just not the sheer amount of them.
