The Struggling Scientists @thestrugglings4.bsky.social · 06/10/2026Researchers spend all day wanting to go home and relax. The Struggling Scientists @thestrugglings4.bsky.social · 04/10/2026A PhD isn’t really about knowing everything. Often it’s about explaining something you barely understand to people who expect you to fully understand it 😅 Research happens at the edge of what is known. The Struggling Scientists @thestrugglings4.bsky.social · 29/09/2026Researchers get tired of hearing that the university “values its people.” Especially when the same problems have been raised for years. The Struggling Scientists @thestrugglings4.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Sometimes everyone in the lab can see the problem. But everyone is too overworked and underpaid to fix it. The Struggling Scientists @thestrugglings4.bsky.social · 26/09/2026I've seen many researchers deal with procrastination, especially when they needed to write. The Struggling Scientists @thestrugglings4.bsky.social · 25/09/2026One of the easiest ways to avoid writing a literature review is to keep finding more literature. One interesting paper becomes six PDFs and twelve tabs. At some point, stop searching and start writing. There will always be one more paper 😅 100
