Recently opened books will automatically sync to your StoryGraph “Currently Reading” shelf.

Reading progress percentages will sync between Kobo and StoryGraph.

Finishing a book on your Kobo device will automatically update your status to “Read” on StoryGraph.

While the integration is seamless, users will retain full control with manual override options available directly within the StoryGraph interface.

If you're still interested, try again and look for a popup when saving indicating that a required field is missing. Either way I can confirm there is no approval process, and creating a book is immediate. I just watched about 100 books get created and they are already visible. Have a nice day!

I just started this audiobook, The Rainbow Ain’t Never Been Enuf by Kaila Adia Story It has such important information in it, it’s really good so far 💕 I went over to StoryGraph to track it, and then read my personalized preview… It was like yeah, you already know you’re going to love this book 😂

It will not only stay optional, it will stay opt-in. It's self-hosted, so your data isn't going anywhere (not ChatGPT or any external service), and opt-in so you'll only see it if you explicitly choose to. I haven't seen anyone else doing AI like this, and it will not change.

The Personalized Preview used to only give positive recs. I wasn't comfortable letting an AI say that you *wouldn't* like something. The overwhelming feedback we received is that this makes the feature a lot less useful. So I've been working hard to add negativity in a way that's actually helpful.

It appears that some ISPs have been blocking Cloudflare, which makes it appear like we've gone down. Our servers are up and running. Trying a different network (mobile data for example) usually allows you to connect again.

I've been informed that Movistar, 02, and possibly other ISPs in Spain are blocking Cloudflare whenever there are La Liga matches. StoryGraph uses Cloudflare, so we are blocked too. It should be up again for you soon!
