Working on a slight redesign of one of my older characters. This is Heart, one of my oldest antagonists and she's been through many iterations over the years. Decided to work from her first form lore-wise to her current form this time :) #art #furryart #ocsky #characterdesign #dragon #commsopen

A page of character design sketches, featuring two versions of the character; one small and cat like, and one a large dragon colored in hot pink and dark purple. Both variations have dragonfly wings on their back, and a long prehensile tail that ends in a sharp stinger.

My urge to talk so frequently about all the horrible stuff is I think a reaction to the opposite impulse to ignore it, or to compel others to participate in the delusion that things will be fine if the establishment would just Do The Right Thing (unlikely). I hate negotiating this social terrain.

Since the advent of Covid and everything that's happened since I've found myself trying to balance acknowledging the horrors with not reminding people about the horrors, mainly so I don't incur social penalties for being a downer lmao.
