Her star was rising. On the few occasions we met she reassured me that it wasn't because she was free of me. I would need time to accept that. Her talent shone, and I couldn't help but feel I'd discouraged that. How had I become so disparaging? How did she forgive me so easily? #vss365 #harbour

$1100 for that one. It's in poor nick. This one has the original design notes and sketches. Only $11k due to colour fade. Oh! A man of taste. Yes, that is The Piece. Tear stains on the paint, increasingly chaotic notes as he descended into madness... How much? What price a soul?! #vss365 #lure

"As long as we're careful, this problem can remain a molehill. Right now it's just potential, ok?" The Word looked at him and said: "We are one. We both know we're in the beginning." And with that, there was a mighty Bang... #vss365 #mountain

As far as scary names go, it's not my best, but The Blob is still an awesome movie.

I read another update. The empathy that was mocked in my childhood lets me partly understand the vulnerability and unwarranted shame she felt. The rage rises, #clouding my judgement. I have to suppress that. Men with dire judgement is what got us here in the first place. #vss365

A Dungeon Game is here and it's free! (It's been both of those things for ages tbh) Explore subterranean depths, face dragons, and discover what lurks beneath. It's classic dungeon crawling with modern design (i.e. it's good). loottheroom.itch.io/a-dungeon-game

Having torn out my heart she proceeded to step away and do the one thing I am incapable of: connection. I watched her greeting, smiling, shaking hands. She treated everyone with the precise amount of respect and deference to ensure their comfort. Except me. She deserved my hate. #vss365 #nurture

"So? What do you think?" I raised my eyebrows. Carol looked hopelessly enthusiastic, which was unearned. "Honestly, the kindest word to describe his face is a #mélange which is, ironically, the exact opposite of his personality. No more blind dates. I'll find my own husband." #vss365

They had come because of the Manifesto. Searching for the source. Because they were small minded, they were looking for something huge, threatening, typical. One of the agents put the #matchbox in his pocket. He would forget it and the fake matches would break and the end would begin. #vss365

In the current world, every act of human creativity is an act of rebellion but also an act of submission. We need to find every Subversion we can to poison the well. If you can sign up to a mailing list, do it.

Hey Bluesky peeps, could you help spread the word? My Shirley Jackson Award-nominated gothic fiction book THE ATROCITIES is on sale today for $1.99 on Kindle and Bookshop. I have no idea how long this sale will last. www.amazon.com/Atrocities-J... bookshop.org/p/books/the-...

This is a photo of a paperback copy of The Atrocities by me (Jeremy C. Shipp). The cover features a creepy old manor house, storm clouds, and a hedge maze. The book is against a brick wall with vines growing around and over the book.
