What kind of material are you — and what does that mean when someone needs you to bend?
What kind of material are you — and what does that mean when someone needs you to bend?We opened with Frank Lloyd Wright: design with the nature of your material. Then we asked — what happens when the material is a person?

Late last month, sensemakers kept returning to the same tension — how much of who we are is fixed, and how much of it is just what we haven’t been asked to change yet?
A pattern kept surfacing: we’re not one material. We shift depending on what the moment needs.

The real risk isn’t AI taking over. It’s us outsourcing our judgment without noticing. The most radical thing you can do? Ask it: “Are you sure?” — and then ask yourself the same.
The AI apocalypse isn’t coming from the machines. It’s coming from us not trusting ourselves anymore.

Curiosity isn’t something you either have or you don’t. It’s something you show up for — in the questions you ask, the rooms you enter, and the people you choose to learn from.
Curiosity isn’t a personality trait. It’s a practice.

Money is the world's oldest database — a constantly updating organic system. The fundamental problem with wealth disparities is you get disproportionate sampling of the world's knowledge.

We talked risk, tradeoffs, and why there's no universal right answer. The most honest takeaway: your context changes everything.
What risk are you willing to sit with tonight?Every money decision is a bet on what you need to feel safe — and only you know that math.

Last month, sensemakers kept coming back to the same idea: with age, the gap between who we perform and who we are quietly closes. And most of us are relieved.
A pattern keeps surfacing: the older we get, the less the front stage and backstage look different.

The Sensemakers Club @thesensemakersclub.bsky.social · 06/10/2026
We perform ourselves differently depending on who's watching — and that's not fake. It's just human. The question is: what does that mean for trust?
The person you trust in private and the person in the meeting aren't lying to you. They're both real.

Expertise is earned. But it can also become a trap. The most dangerous version of yourself is the one that stopped asking questions because you finally felt like you knew enough. Stay uncomfortable. Join us every weekday at 2 PM ET.
The moment you decide you're done learning is the moment you start falling behind — and you won't even notice it happening.

This month, Making Sense of Language explored code switching, tone policing, and what it actually costs to show up as someone else just to be accepted. Join us every 4th Friday at 2 PM ET.
Does changing the language change the gravity — or does it just make it easier to look away?We code switch to survive the room we're in. The cost is often paid later, in private.

Late last month a pattern kept surfacing: the rooms where everyone agrees all the time are the most dysfunctional ones. Healthy tension isn't a problem to manage — it's a sign that people are actually engaged. The goal isn't harmony. It's honesty. Join us every 3rd Thursday at 2 PM ET.

We've been so conditioned to justify our boundaries that we've forgotten we don't owe anyone a reason. Kindness doesn't require an explanation. It just requires being clear. The people who push back on your "no" are usually the ones who needed to hear it most.
"No" is a complete sentence. The explanation is optional. The apology is unnecessary.

The best discoveries — about ideas, about other people, about yourself — have always started the same way. With a question you couldn't leave alone. Join us every weekday at 2 PM ET to keep pulling the thread.
The thread connecting every meaningful idea, relationship, and version of yourself is curiosity — pull it and see what unravels.

A member spent weeks crafting the perfect way to say no to an unreasonable request. She finally landed on "I appreciate you thinking of me — I'm not able to do that." No reason. No apology. Just no. Turns out that was the whole answer. Join us every weekday at 2 PM ET.
Sometimes the kindest thing you can do for yourself is stop explaining yourself.

Likes, comments, and shares are easy to measure. Feeling genuinely seen in a room full of strangers is not. But it's the only metric that actually makes people come back. We've averaged 85% attendance from members who found what they were looking for. Join us every weekday at 2 PM ET.

Most online spaces reward quick takes and easy answers. This one rewards the opposite — people who show up to think out loud, sit with hard questions, and leave knowing a little more than when they arrived. Join us every weekday at 2 PM ET.

The best ideas in your organization are already there. They're just sitting in different people's heads, waiting for a room where it's safe to share them. We built that room. Join us every weekday at 2 PM ET.
