Social media feels increasingly like wading through different flavours of sludge. I used to love being on these platforms and sharing…but even before the demise of Twitter, the joy just went from it for me Any other artists reluctantly here 👋😂

Life and other side had put music on the back burner for a little while but new music will drop very soon 🔥 A burst of energy known as ‘I just want to feel something’ will be heading to your ears before long!!

Ahhh it’s been a while since I jumped on socials! Still mad to me that in Dec I out out an album 🤯 While other parts of life have needed their time, there’s music being worked on to record before long 😁 Potential collabs, who knows 🤷🏻‍♂️

As it’s almost Christmas, just want to say that I’m really grateful for every listen, like, share and purchase. It’s a very cool feeling that so many strangers have played my stuff!

I think musically this year has been about confidence for me It’s still fairly new making music as a one-man band and finding my own sound. Putting the album out, capturing that moment is a significant step in all that

Really appreciate the reviews/opinions that don’t quite get what I do - it feels like I’m doing the right thing if I’m not doing the same as everyone else 😁

I’d like to shout about other similar artists more in the new year Drop me a line if you’re vaguely alt-rock with a single out now or early Jan with your Spotify link and I’ll get a playlist together 👍 #MusicianSky

Today’s album track is Signals This was one from when I started trying something different just using a drum machine, bass and vocals. It’s kind of about someone whose very fatalistic and seems to be waiting for the end of the world open.spotify.com/track/1I859L...

Track a day from the album is Illuminate Though its darker in tone than others on the album, it’s about unrequited love. Someone meaning a lot to you whether they know or not Fun not going with acoustic drums to give it a different vibe #MusicSky open.spotify.com/track/47pKih...

Song a day from the album: Heartstrings About trying as much as you can with what feels like it’d be an amazing relationship and for and it just doesn’t or can’t happen A memory of a gig from years ago with a beat boxer…and a very deliberate nod to Kate Tempest in the middle-8 #MusicSky

Got to love Spotify stats 😂 Hey, I’m doing well! Oh…apparently not as well as I’d thought apparently through ‘bot plays’. No-one wants that - just actual people. Why not just show the actual stats instead of removing after the fact? I’m sure the data available for artists could be so much clearer

This copy is just a test but SO SATISFYING! Since first being in bands as a teenager, I wanted to one day hold a copy of an album I made on vinyl. If there’s only ever this one copy, that makes me happy Holding the design work I’d done on something tangible is awesome too 😁 #MusicSky

Today’s track from the album is Heartstrings I had the acoustic riff for a while and kind of knew what it evoked but just going with it and see what it’d become took a while. I didn’t expect to be doing a spoken-word section when I started!

Song a day from the album: So Skywards Unlike the others on the album, this one took a while! It blends acoustic and electric drums in the chorus to give it more oomph. It’s kind of a reference to being in a low place and looking outside yourself for help open.spotify.com/track/2vhflL...

Another ad experiment, this time on Instagram. I wondered what creative might work best and ran ads with the current single’s artwork and one with a promo shot I hate being in photos let alone use them in ads so wasn’t jumping to do this but the results so far are pretty clear - that one wins
