This was the first monument built to Abraham Lincoln, on the site of his birth in central Kentucky. The monument sits atop what was thought to be the family’s cabin from 1809-11, but has since been proven not to be. But it’s still there!

Even the approach to Denali from the south was amazing. Check out the clear day we had. Photos taken from Talkeetna. And the mountain is Denali, not Mt. McKinley, who never set foot in Alaska.
