In July, we sent Andy Burnham a letter. ⁠ We wanted to remind him how repair and reuse can save people money, skill up young people and support local businesses. Of course it also helps us do our bit for the climate 💚⁠ ⁠ We're not alone; nearly 1 in 4 MPs already support our #RepairReuseDeclaration.

📱 Four in five smartphone model records failed our EU repair-information check.⁠ ⁠ We reviewed 2,334 records in the EU’s official EPREL database. Only 18% clearly led consumers to the required repair information.⁠ ⁠ Almost half left the relevant fields blank.

158 MPs have signed the #RepairReuseDeclaration which calls on policies to ensure that repair is accessible and affordable, and that reusing our finite resources becomes the norm 🔧 The policies we're asking for include:⁠ 💷 Zero VAT on repair services, and spare parts⁠ 🧰 Funding for Repair Vouchers⁠
