The bottle I am doing the miniature potions lab in has arrived and it’s adorable! There is still time to help these families and enter the raffle!

I ended up going back to my more comfortable medium, paper. I based the shape on a bell and with some forming I got what I think is a pretty convincing tiny cauldron

Brass bell and black cardstock paper form in similar shape next to each other

Flat black card stock with cuts in it and some cuts removed. The cuts are circular with their centers also cut out. And the body consists of flag like shapes stacked on top of each other. These will but pulled off the mat and formed into a bowl or cauldron shape

In the spirit of @charingfae.bsky.social and “First draft Friday”: When I made my first miniature cauldrons I tried to make them from aluminum foil wrapped around a wooden bead and the glued and painted into shape They were too delicate & crushed in the removal process so I had to pivot

Day 2 learning stamp carving by trying to draw & carve Draco’s patronus from Dramione fics Today is a Borzoi! Its bottom jaw is wonky but I like how the top turned out Also I got ink pads & used different paper. So much easier to do & clearer to see! Check out that fresh Hedgehog 🦔

To try and learn stamp carving I want to do one of Draco’s patronus’ from various Dramione fics. Ideally, 1 a day everyday in June… I only have a list of 8 so far so this probably won't work But here is Day 1: Hedgehog Carving itself wasn’t too hard. but inking was another story😬

Empty Clear Glass bottle held by the black stopper at the top by the fingers of a white hand.

The bottle is empty of liquid but has a floor resembling stone. The stone floor is covered with stacks of cauldrons, stacks of books and has a tavern style table on it with more cauldrons, books and some scrolls on top.

Glass bottle is about the size of the small adult hand.

Everything inside is a handcrafted miniature made of paper, paint and glue.

Closer view of the bottle. This time the hand is holding it around the base. More detail can be seen in the faux stone floor, cauldrons and books.
