So cute and spooky! Are they both primalists of a sort? Or also a DK?

The annoying thing is his followers never see what's wrong with their behavior. No matter how you explain how disruptive it all is to the RP scene there's always another that just doesn't get it. I hope they enforce protection against griefing

sounds like the same folk who will usually view all characters as "straight until [EXPLICITLY TOLD IS GAY IN TEXT REPEATEDLY WITH SIRENS NEON LIGHTS AND STEREOTYPES]" (and even then its a toss up)

A lot of this feels like a combination of "telling not showing" and major plot points not really connecting to anything beyond that patch. Was 12.1.5 written without knowing the details of what happened in 12.0.5?

I think KH1 is the best of them all, as silly as it is. Everything after that is Squenix trying to explain the non-disney aspects of the first game, and while the drama was a balm to my edgy teenage soul, can't deny that it was largely nonsense lol

TheRebelSpy @therebelspy.bsky.social · 18/08/2026

that sucks :< why not use story mode? (though you shouldnt expect people to kick you for no reason...) I like it a lot for taking in the scenery and story of a dungeon at my own pace

Private website ownership is not only still possible in 2026 but also cheaper and easier than it’s ever been. I cannot underscore this enough lol. It can be as cheap as 9 a year for the domain if your hosting is free (otherwise can be under 10/mo) and as easy as using a template

A smaller, more contained or background story can lean heavily on speculation and leaving things unfinished.

000

TheRebelSpy @therebelspy.bsky.social · 22/07/2026

Its hard because marketability demands a plot with clear direction and stakes. It's difficult to sell smaller stories, especially given that theres not much actual player story agency at the moment. They are better written, but I think thats partly because of their scale and scope.

its the same writing issues that have always been. Blizz's strategy is usually to mostly disregard things that happen before/after an expansion, maybe picking up some little pieces to shake like a nostalgic treat bag to beckon the lore nerds

I'm desperately missing the combination and interweaving of Void and Holy magic core to Disc priests in lore. I feel like it should be a significant feature - especially now that we've got the dawnwell. Otherwise let me cosmetic glyph my way to pure-holy Disc damnit >:|

They're just that cool. (real answer: it may be tied to one of the items being worn, or the model being used. I suspect the glasses...? Potentially related to profession gear?)

20 years or so and realize it has changed in some ways but some stuff like story direction and quality REAAALLY hasn't changed over all that much. That kind of helps in a way. Like feelsbad now but some things really have just been like that and we're just feeling it currently.

I think part of growing up in this day and age where the corpses of IPs we grew up with keep getting paraded around for consumption involves learning how to cope with just that. It's important media to you! But dont put all eggs in a basket! ..With WoW at least I feel like I reflect on the past --
