Money given to the wealthy gets hoarded. Money given to workers gets spent. On rent. On groceries. On local businesses. On their kids. It immediately cycles back through the economy and creates more growth than any tax cut for the rich ever could. Higher wages help everyone.

Just 5.9% of private sector workers belong to a union. In the 50’s, over 1/3rd of the entire workforce was organized. Surprising exactly no one, that was the most prosperous era in US history. Corporations then spent the next 70 years systematically dismantling worker power.
