I recently completed my Dangerfield rewatch. I've really enjoyed the series, but it had a final series retooling with soapier elements added which at times left me reacting like Dr. Paige in this scene 🙈

A week to go until the Ipswich Book Festival! 📚 On Saturday, Emma and I will have the pleasure of interviewing Matson Taylor about his new book 'Roman Mornings'. On Sunday, I'll be interviewing Nat Harrison about her book 'The Girl Who Raced the World' 😁 #booksky

Very sad to hear the news today that Hazel Ellerby (Peak Practice's Chloe White) passed away earlier this year. Hazel was a delight and it was great to see her appear in so many other shows as well as Peaks.

What a delight to watch the recently discovered episodes of #DoctorWho on BBC iPlayer 😁🪠 Adrienne Hill is wonderful as Katarina and Nicholas Courtney is great as Bret Vyon. William Hartnell and Peter Purves are on top form too. Bravo to all those involved in the recovery!

I'm slowly making my way through the fifth series of 90's medical drama #Dangerfield. I like how for the title sequence, Dr Paige's name plate has been moved to the top when in reality it is at the bottom in eps (as it should be for being the new Doctor in the practice). Ah the little things... 😆

Ever since I started my #Dangerfield (re)watch in 2022, my single memory of the series was a scene on a driving range at night. I finally reached it this week in Series 5, Episode 2 "The Long Weekend". The idea of heading off to the driving range in the evening fascinated me as a kid! 🙈🏌‍♂️⛳️

Rob Cook @therealrobcook.bsky.social · 06/12/2025

Before I hit the Christmas reads, I plumped for The Body on the Doorstep by A.J. Mackenzie, a solid historical read for autumn nights. #booksky

Michael Parkinson's 1981 interview with Goldie Hawn features some very tight close ups of both Goldie and Parky which feels very odd, especially compared to the other interviews in the episode with Thora Hird and John Blashford-Snell (and other editions of the era). #ThrowbackThursday

Finished watching four parter The Game this evening. The second half was much better and pacier shown by me watching the last two episodes in as many evenings when it took me four months to get through the first two 🙈 Great to see Robson Green as the villain.

Sad to hear Jack Shepherd has passed away. He was great in Wycliffe in the 90's and I was lucky to see him on stage in Ipswich alongside Terrence Hardiman a few years back, their Q&A afterwards was an added bonus.

I wanted a quick read towards the end of last week so plumped for another #Emmerdale novelisation. A little underwhelming was this one. It felt like the scraps of un-novelised storylines were used to cobble this together. #booksky

A recent pre #TheakstonsCrime read was 'Wycliffe in Paul's Court'. I loved the 90's TV series and I occasionally dip into the book series. At just over 200 pages, this was actually nice, quick and quirky read. #booksky

A recent read was my June James Patterson. Revenge is the second of two books in the David Shelley series and is a cracking thriller with plenty of twists and turns. Let's not mention that I read the first book, Hunted, back in 2020 🙈 #booksky #amreading
